Awright folks, heres the first log from me!

First off a little background info, for those of you who dont know my names robby, currently a freshman at college and going to major in strength and conditioning. I play soccer for the college in the naia but hoping to move to bigger and better things in the future! My training reflects this obviously with me training and dieting for athletic performance and not hypertrophy!

I will be training twice a day with one session being soccer practise and the other geared towards performance. One day off a week and two game days a week usually. The first session will be in the morning at about 6 and my soccer practise is at 4.

The diet plan looks like this,

Pre-workout 05.30
50g carbs
5g fat

Workout 06.00
Bcaa's
waxy maize

Post-workout 07.30
33g protein from whey
50g carbs
5g fat

Breakfast 10.00
33g protein
75g carbs
10g fat

Lunch 12.30
33g protein
75g carbs
5g fat
1 vegetable

Pre-soccer training 14.00
33g protein
75g carbs
5g fat
1 vegetable

Dinner 18.00
33g protein
75g carbs
10g fat
1 vegetable

Late night meal 20.00
33g protein
20g fat

Now for the supplements

Supplements
Multi-vit
Vit-C
Fish oil
Zinc
Magnesium
BCAA's (Scivation Xtend)
Whey Protein (BSN Syntha 6)
Creatine mono (ON creatine)
Waxy Maize (Primaforce Carb slam)

I will be completly honest with everything I am doing and will keep you updated on everything thats going on in my life right now.

Cheers bro, the conference starts on saturday which I cant wait for although we only have a record of 2-6 from pre-season games. We should have 7-1 but weve been unlucky so far.

10.01.08

First day of diet and training, got off to a good start. Just need to keep it consistant now!

Training

Morning weigt training, High intensity power focused.

Power cleans - 165 lbs - 4 sets of 3,3,3,2 - 180 sec rest (strap assisted)
Back squat - 225 - 4 sets of 3,3,3,3 - 90 sec rest
SLDL - 225 - 2 sets of 5,5 - 90 sec rest (strap assisted)
Benchpress - 205-180 - 3 sets of 3,3,5 - 105 sec rest
Janda situps - 3 sets to max - 8,8,7 - 90 sec rest

Soccer practise

We did conditioning today with two 10 min fartlek runs. The first was run 75% accross half the field, jog slowly accross the bredth, sprint 1/4 of the lenght of the pitch walk 1/4 of the lenght of the pitch. The second was a slow jog on the pitch and then sprint in different directions on the whistle until the next whistle. That was followed by a 30 min scimmage on full pitch.

I was incredibly beat up by the end of the day. Todays morning workout was suppose to be speed drills but because we did similar conditioning yesterday I amn't doing them and will resule my normal programme tomorrow.

Diet

5.30
1 whole wheat bagel
1/3 tablespoon olive oil

6.00
32oz water
3 scoop xtend
40g waxy maize
1/8 teaspoon salt

7.30
1 1/2 scoops syntha 6
2 cups watermelon
1 cup mixed fruit
1/3 tablespoon olive oil
10g creatine

10.00
5 oz chicken breast
1 1/2 cup oats
1/4 cup mixed nuts
multi-vit
Vit C
2g fish oils

12.30
2 slices wheat bread
3 slices ham
3 slices turkey
1 wheat bagel
2g fish oils

2.00
Rice (had a mix up with the servings. Got cooked up uncooked servings mixed up which resulted in me cooking 1 huge bowl of rice. Not too sure how much I had)
5 oz chicken
1/3 tablespoon olive oil

6.00
Roughly 5 oz beef
1 1/2 wheat bagel
1/4 cup mixed nuts
cucumber

10.00
5 oz chicken
1/4 cup mixed nuts
1/3 tablespoon olive oil

The meals are pretty reppetitive but right now I dont care. Once I have got the diet locked down I will start changing foods and adding some variety.

Other thoughts

Just realised how much homework ive got to do, not too happy right now. Also got my manicin (sp) test in first aid in an hour so ive got to study for that. Just cant wait till saturday to get the conference underway. The first team were paying have lost every game so far apart from one which they drew in so we better destroy them!
