Should I cut I'm roughly 215-220 pounds, but Football is coming up and I would like to keep some of that weight, then start cutting as soon as it ends.

Is it possible to cut and gain strength also I'm pretty sure it's not but just making sure.

What are some good meal examples for 6 meals a day?

Well to anwser your first question i can just offer a suggestion. If your football season is coming up i would bulk so your a bigass dude on field. When u sut u loose strength so no do cut in my opinion.

2nd question no it is unlikely that u will gain strentgh while cutting seeing to it your loosing fat and cutting your caloric intake u should actually be slightly weaker.

Examples of meals since you are bulking i would say 40gprotein 60-70 carbs(unless u are carbs sensitive like myself and i would suggest 50g carbs) and take in healthy fats nothing deepfried, i would stick to natty peanutbutter and smartbalance butter for those. also get a serving if veggies of fruit each meal. i would go fruit for 3 meals and veggies for 3 meals, that will give u essential vitamins and minerals for healing.

eat this meal once or twice a day
So for breakfast cup n a half of egg whites, a cup of oatmeal and a bannana for the fat put a slice of 2% kraft cheese ontop of your eggwhits for flavor.

eat this meal 3 or 4 times a day
An other meal u can eat 1 chicken breast cup of rice veggies and for fat have a spoonfl of natty peanut butter.

Eat this meal once a day
red meat 6 oz baked potatoe and some veggies.

Feel free to mix and match stuff in the diet. As long as u keep protein carbs and fats as i have listed and u eat 6 times a day u should be fine. if u feel like eating chicken and a bakedpotatoe 4 times a daygo ahead. I wouldnt exceed 3 servings of fruit a day bc of the sucrose in the furit, its like a sugar jolt and u dont want to get fat so i would eat the fruit in the morning if i was u. Eat the veggies in the last 3 meals of the day.

Hope i helped some bro.

Peace n GodBless

Laughing as he snatched another plate from the stack Chalking his hands and monstrous back, said, "Boy, stop lying and don't say you've forgotten, The trouble with you is you ain't been SQUATTIN'." — DALE CLARK, 1983

What position do you play?

If you are running and lifting, it is possible to gain strength while getting leaner.

Are you looking for more meal Ideas or amounts?

Eli it is much easier to gain strength while putting on size. It is natural to lose strentgh while leaning out bc in order to lean out u have to burn more calories than u take in daily. Therfore your not putting your body in a muscle building state your just trying to hold on to what u have built up in the offseason. This is the purpose of the offseason to put on as much size as u can so precontest time when u lose all that bodyfat some muscle is bound to come with it its just natural.
i suggest if your trying to gains strength u do that first, then u cut down.

Just a suggestion tho. Eli ask your wifey shes a PT isnt she? Banshee knows best!

Peace n Godbless bro hope the house is going great for u 2.

I played college ball (outside linebacker and D-end). Obviously its physiologically easier to gain strength while bulking. That being said, if you clean up your diet(and eat more often) add some sprints into your routine a few times a week, and continue to lift hard, you will lose bodyfat and get stronger. You will not maximize either. But you will do some of each. More than likely your weight will stay the same, and your strength will go up. Im assuming you are talking football, and not BB right now. Going on a precontest diet before season would be suicide.
Do not forget about speed. Speed kills, especially as a DB. The reason I went from OLB to DE was because I gained a bit too much size, and lost a bit too much speed.
Are you doing explosive lifts as well? (power cleans, etc) These will help increase strength and speed also.

How tall are you? What year are you?

I love cottage cheese and yogurt. BigBen had great ideas about meals. Avoid fried foods, and be sure you are getting enough protein. chicken, tuna, oatmeal, etc (1 gram per pound of weight as a good start)
