I've noticed that there are a lot of companies now that make protein bars with faulty nutritional information. For example, if you look at the Nito-tech S'mores bars, the breakdown is like this:
Calories - 290
Protein - 30
Carbs - 32 (6 g fibre, 4 g sugar, 9 g net effective carbs)
Fat - 8
Now, if you use the protein and carbs = 4 cals and fat = 9 equation, it would come to 320
If you only counted the net effective carbs, it would equal 228.
Why the difference? I don't understand where the calories are... |
