Can some of you explain why you think Optimum is better.

I have no idea which one is best, but would like to see some reasoning behind the choice ????

Chaps,

You are not convincing me !! Great taste is not the criteria you should be going with !
If so then just buy Benn and Jerrys ice cream ??

You should be looking at its content and dependant on what you are taking it for, then look at Whey isolate, Whey concentrate, or Micellar Casein content. Then the amount of added carbs etc.
I use a few brands but predominantly CNP (Dorian Yates App) Pro Peptide as my evening time shake, and CNP Pro Mass as my after workout shake.
Also been trying Reflex Progen which is a new Meal Replacement product.

Sometimes products that mix too easily are therefore too easily absorbed, ie absorbed to quickly. You need occassions when the protein is absorbed slowly as at bedtime.

No point in eating well during the day and then not taking a good protein last thing at night when you`re going to go 8 hours without taking anything !!!!!!!!

Please reply with your thoughts ?

hey Arnietwo .. all brands u mentioned it's not available here in kuwait .. u guys are lucky for the varaity of supplemets u have .. also .. optimum has roprietary blend of...

Microfiltered Whey Protein Isolates
Ion-Exchange Whey Protein Isolates
Ultrafiltered Whey Protein Concentrate
HydroWhey Hydrolyzed Whey Peptides

also this more :
To give you more of what you want (pure, unadulterated whey protein) with less of what you don't (fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, lactose, and other carbohydrates) with every serving. This whey protein supplement is no exception. In fact, ON 100% Whey Gold Standard is better than ever! Here's why:

ON 100% Whey Gold Standard provides more whey protein isolates (WPI) - the purest and most expensive source of whey protein available.

Higher protein percentage. ON's 100% Whey Gold Standard has always been a leader in this respect. Now with 24 grams of protein in just slightly over one-ounce serving, it's nearly 79% protein by weight!

We've included more HydroWhey strategically hydrolyzed, low molecular weight whey peptides to make ON's 100% Whey Gold Standard even faster acting!

ON's 100% Whey Gold Standard now contains lactase and Aminogen digestive enzymes to further enhance absorption and make this product even more friendly to lactose intolerant individuals.

ON's 100% Whey Gold Standard is instantized to mix easily and completely with just a few twirls of a spoon.

Every serving supplies even more low, moderate, and high molecular weight, biologically active whey protein microfractions including Alpha-lactalbumin, Glycomacropeptides, Beta-lactoglobulin, Immunoglobulin G (IgG), Lactoferrin, lactoperoxidase, and various growth factors.

Over 4 grams of glutamine and glutamine precursors as well as 5 grams of BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, and valine) in each scoop!

i tried a lot of whey ( GNC and it was nice but lil bit expensive ) ultra whey pro from universal and i was sick of foams it has and hard to shake it .. but it was nice in test and has 100 serving .. also i tried nitro-tech in fact it was the wrost whey i ever tried .. i found that optimum is the best whey in my supplement arsenal now :)

for u Makavili .. the vanilla flavor was taste good .. like vanilla ice cream .. but u know bro nothing beat chocolete flavor :)

Robby,
CNP have recently removed something from their Pro recover and therefore it is almost the same as the Pro Mass.
The Pro Mass is cheaper so go with that. To keep the cost down I also buy the 4.5kg tub which lasts a few weeks !
Yours Dave

Hey Dave, Pro Recover is a post workout out supplement that has Glucose in it not like Pro Mass which is a weight gainer. Thanks for telling me about Mass tho its an excellent product!I can't get it here in Florida tho so I settle for Dorian's MBF which is almost the same thing.I'm gonna ask the guy at Best Price see If he can get Pro Mass order for me will let you know how I do Dave. Thanks Again!

Robby,

I love Pro Recover and would use it all the time if I could. I currently go through about £60 ( $100) worth of Protein Powder etc per month ( etc does not mean gear, I mean other vits , I am natural ) So to try and keep costs down I use the Pro Mass as the Post Workout shake. as I say the incredients are not much differant. As you say recover has Glucose and the Mass has Maltodextrin !!!

A 900g (2lb) tub of recover in the UK is £27. I could get it from my sources for £18. I bet you can get it for $20 over in Florida, ???
