is my PWO shake just too much?

I normally do 150g (1 cup) of dextrose and 75g of whey. I know having too much protein ain't gonna do any harm, but do you think it's just overboard especially on the dex?

I have always heard cram as much sugar in as you can.

I only do about 50g of dextrose and like 40g of protein for my PWO shake.. 150g god damn that'd be so sweet It'd make me damn near throw up.

When I first started I did a sort of 2 to 1 ratio (carbs to protein) and I stick with that, but nix the powder sugar and opt for fruits--dextrose malto-dex and whatever other sugar they put in a plastic tub is pretty much worthless.

Damn man, 150g of dex? Just how badly do you want to get fat?!

And 75 of whey is too much too. I sure wouldn't want to be your toilet...

Why are Dextrose and Maltodextrin worthless? For post workout they are probably the best two simple carbs to take.

Unless you are twice Ronnie Coleman's size, that's too much sugar IMO.

Also, dextrose & maltodextrin are definetly not worthless.

So how much should I do? I have always seen 2:1 ratio of carbs: protein. And most people say take 40-60g of proetin PWO. So if I take 60g of protein then that puts me at 120g of dex.

Also, I don't think taking dextrose post-workout will get you fat.

Also, you don't even belong in this thread if you are eating fruits post-workout. You are actually refilling your liver glycogen levels and doing nothing to force the nutrients into your muscle cells. Fruit is full of fructose. You want dex.

Why even bother mixing all this shit together get a all in one product and the best there is by Dorian Yates under the company name (Chemical Nutrition)out of Britain.The only place you can purchase in US is brandnamesupplements.com
The ten pound tub is the most economical 3 to 4 scoops is all you need post workout and it will last you quite a while a little expensive but DEFINITLY well worth it guys!

IO came up with a little something for my preworkout and it works great it seems to begiving me more strentgh.

We all know that if you spike your glucose level that insulin is released. When insulin is released your cells can absorb more protein. Theirfore i eat 2 large banannas and 60 grams of protein b4 a workout. like i said i dont run out of energy and my strength seems to be up whenever i do this.

Little trick some probably already knew.

becuase you can't get any better than dextrose/whey. Anything else is either overpriced or a gimmick

50 grams i think is more tham enought .. as i know you have to multiply .75 by your wieght to know how much of suger you're suppose to take

,75xBW? that doesn't sound right. If I did that I'd need to be taking like 150g.. I just went off what flex said a while ago. 30g to start, then up it to 50.
