I dont reccomend cheating too often, it is not really necessary on a bulk because your body is in a surplus of calories and you will most likely store it as fat, therefore you are just creating more work for yourself when you cut. You also are reducing the body's insulin sensitivy by letting your bf% get too high as some new research out now thinks they have proven the effect of visceral fat (the fat that covers the organs) in contributing to a decrease in insulin sensitivy and possibly type II diabetes. Insulin is the most important hormone for bodybuilders, and a decrease in insulin sensitivy will definately effect your ability to put on muscle.
On a cut, i would reccomend one cheat meal, not day, a week. If anything the meal serves as a motivation to keep on track the rest of the week.
