immediately before, consume a slow digesting protein, (cottage cheese) lots of essential fatty acids (fish oil caps, flax), if you have problems gaining weight, id also have a salad for some low gi slow burning carbs

I usually have some cottage cheese right before bed.
Like said in the reply above, you need some slow digesting protein over night.

i bought some cottage cheese last week, but the taste isn't what i could eat every night before i go to bed.
Is this just the kind of cottage cheese i bought? or do different brands come with other tastes?

or does this have to do with the fat % in the cheese? this one has 4,2% fat and 13,5 grams of protein per 100 grams.

HyperStyle,

which brand of cottage cheese do you have? and where did you buy it?

cottage cheese is an aquired taste

you just have to get used to it

it's kinda like tuna...just chew & swallow

as for the milkfat content, I'd stick with 1%

Mix it with protein powder or yogurt.

Echte cottage cheese bij de Lidl, maar wat veel lekkerder is: magere kwark, deze haal ik bij de Edah en Aldi omdat ze daar goedkoper/voedzamer zijn.

Cottage cheese before bed is the way to go. If your taking ZMA, you may have timing issues. As said above, yogurt livens it up, as does a little turkey chili and then nuke it. Your other option is to wake up at 2 or 3am and eat.
