I have experimented with a lot of supplements over years. The concrete whey shakes, the amino acids, vitamins, thermo's the list is endless

All they did was make me feel like **** and get fat.

Funny thing is I came off them this year and have dropped excess fat and actually gained more lean body mass!!!

Im starting to think that the whole industry is to screw BB'rs out of money!

I was really afraid that my muscle mass would shrink when I stopped taking Protein shakes six times a day religously.

Im starting to think that the whole industry is a con! I was wondering if any one has been through the same experience before!

Only clean foods for me no eating to bulk up and get fat again!

It's working and I feel great!

supplements are just an extra tool. If your basic nutrition ain't good, then you can use all supplements and they will not work. 90% of todays supplements are commercial garbage anyway. Such as creatine ethyl esther products are one of the most bull**** products ever made.

Yeah some are definatly fillers and ****..........BUT some IMO do work, one of which for me was the Lee Labrada powder 60g protien in it per serve. I like the shakes when I get back from the gym and am that wasted I can't move.

If you feel better or are fooled that you are stronger or got more energy, then maybe it is not awaste of money........LOL a bit of lateral thinking or a bit of bull**** you decide for yourself LOL

Like it was stated before 6 shakes a day is a bit much. For me it is really hard to eat six meals a day but I can get 4 and 2 50gram protien shales in a day. And with this added protien in my diet I am putting on some nice lean muscle. The main thing is diet first then suppliments to help you a long not the other way around. :)

Some shakes have a lot of filler and aspartame, which will hold water on your body. Most people that take alot of shakes (6 a day??) will drop water immedietly after cutting them out.
You should experiment and find out which ones work best for yuor body. As Robby mentioned, Beverly and Yates are considered to be a good, clean product.

Thnx for your feedback guys but Im sticking to natural foods. I would rather get my grams of protein from chicken ect then from the whey shakes. It all depends how your body responds. I find that the supplements effect my workouts because I don't feel good when using them.

If they work for you thats good. I know 6 protein shakes a day was crazy but some of the information you get from the mags when you start out suggest crazy **** like taking 10 vitamin c pills a day to booost testosterone. If you have been working out as long as I have you probably have done some pretty insane **** to your body nutrition wise because articles in mags can be misleading.

It's great to see my abs for once after all the years of hard work! I don't think I need an offseason bulk (get fat phase any more) Because I'm increasing size any way.

Maybe I strayed from my original reason to get into bodybulding to get healthy and big and muscular. Then I wanted to be Mr O! I looked at these guys getting fat in the offseason and shredding up for the one contest a year! And I thought that is how to build muscle. But I was miserable and fat!

I hope others don't make the mistakes I have made in the past!

Now I feel great and healthy! Im stronger and bigger with less body fat!

It just makes me wonder about the supps industry and the misinformation frome flex, muscle and fitness ect

dictionary def; Supplement: Something added to complete a thing, make up for a deficiency, or extend or strengthen the whole.
I think a lot of ppl hav it backwards, wholesome food is no longer the basis of a diet.

As far as the bulking season goes it doesnt mean you have to get fat. Yea, you wont have the defintion but there is no reason to get fat. and as far as the supplements, thats what they are, supplements to supplement the diet. The only time I have protein shakes are my post-workout meal. I consume two shakes to get protein into my body a.s.a.p. 6 a day is way too much. I think as far as shakes go it should be 2-3 shakes (depending on the amount of protein).

Judging by this post it seems as if you rely too much on supplements. Yes there are many products in the industry that are bad, but if you do your homework you will know what to take, when to take it, and anything else you can do to maximize your gains.

It's used to maximize your gains as people said up there. It motivates you but the most important is the food you eat. You don't need to take supplements to get happy with your bbing results and that's what I want aith bbing: to get happy with it results.
