What's the difference between a protein bar that contains 30g of protein/ 5g of carbs, and another bar that has 30g of protein/25g of carbs?!? Which one would be better to purchase?!?

I think the protein/carb ratio depends on what your going for. if you just want some extra protein then go w/ the low carb bar. but, if you looking for a bar to replace a meal, then i would say high protein and high carb.

^ what he said. If you just want some protein go get the cheapo ones from Walmart, they have good protein and low carbs.

Yeah, the only reason I want to buy some protein bars is to use them as a meal replace. So, I'll go with the 1 protein/1 carb ratio bar. Thanks Diesel.

if your eating shitloads of protein bars make sure your getting an enzyme supplement . protein bars havent been in my diet in a while , i ocassionally eat a probar which has 50 carbs and 19grams of fat , and 9 grams of protein , made of fruit blended together and mushed together , but eating half of one of those with a shake makes for a pretty good meal .

A proten bar or a protein shake that has roughtly a 30g/30g mix of protein and carbs is ideal as a post-workout supplement. A 30g/5g mix, on the other hand, is good for breakfast, dinner or to get your once-every-3-hour protein fix.
