EFA= Essential fatty acid: An unsaturated fatty acid that is essential to human health, but cannot be manufactured in the body. There are three types of essential fatty acids (EFAs): arachnoidic acid, linoleic acid, and linolenic acid. When obtained in the diet, linoleic acid can be converted to both arachnoidic and linolenic acid. It is commonly found in cold-pressed oils, and is particularly high in oils extracted from cold-water fish and certain seeds. Recent research has explored the role of EFAs in the nervous system health. Supplementation with certain EFOs appears to be useful as a treatment for certain neurological disorders. However, arachnoidic acid may lower the seizure threshold. For that reason, always consult a knowledgeable physician before starting a program of EFA supplementation.

When muscle cells become swollen with water, the ideal environment for protein synthesis and muscle growth is created. L-Glutamine increases the level of fluid within the muscles.
L-Glutamine is known as a non-essential amino acid because it is manufactured within the body. When you are experiencing extreme stress like having completed an intense workout, however, your body may not be able to
synthesize enough L-Glutamine to keep up with the increased demand. Supplementation then by definition, becomes essential.
L-Glutamine plays an extremely important role in health and wellness. The cells of the immune system require this amino acid in order to reproduce and, in times of stress, our muscles are genetically programmed to release large amounts of it. However, intense exercise causes the natural supply of L-Glutamine to be rapidly depleted. If you lead an active lifestyle, you should consider taking L-Glutamine on a daily basis.

BCAA's reduce muscle fatigue, speed recovery, decrease the loss of other amino acids from muscle during exercise and help the body absorb protein.
BCAA's are rapidly depleted from the muscle when training. Taking BCAA’s before and/or during a work out will increase performance and delay fatigue. Taking BCAA's immediately after or with a post work out meal will lower cortisol (destroys muscle) levels and replace BCAA levels in the muscles faster.
