Milk, oats, tuna, banana.

You get everything you could ever need without resorting to fancy powders.

Yeah and throw in some egg whites if you want.

First of all, how much do you weigh? Start with like 6 egg whites and if you don't feel full, then add some more. A cup of oatmeal, 2 slices of whole wheat bread )I choose to eat 2 slices) and a banana. Oh. and a glass of milk: preferably fat free milk. It has no fat, and I'm used to it because I've drank it most of my life.

i guess my real concern is me eating too much to soon before i workout?because then i will feel sick because my body is trying to digest food. i wasnt sure if i should be eating complex food an hour before i lift.

i weigh 240 with 12%bodyfat

Im about your size, and I take in a serving of oatmeal, a scoop of whey, and glutamine. I Used to lift on an empty stomach because I would always feel so nasty if I didnt, but now I just wake up earlier and eat. If all else fails, have a few bites of oatmeal and some BCAA's. IMO opinion it would be better to eat too little rather than too much!
