What's the deal guys? No one seems to be mentioning anything about Designer Whey Protein from Next Nutrition. It claims to be one of the best tasting and advantageous whey proteins out there. It also boasts being "America's #1 Selling Protein Since 1993."

I have never taken Optimum's protein so I'm not sure why everyone seems to be so attached to it. Anyways, let me know if there's something wrong with Designer... don't want to be throwing my money/effort away.
:1480:

Thanks in advance.

I take Optimum protein and it's the shit. Good investment in my opinion.

I don't know about the Next Nutrition stuff you mentioned. But give it a try and let us know. The ON's Optimum shit is pretty good and affordable so this is why most people buy it.

This link has an interesting review on Designer Whey.

http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/p...tein-review.htm

Designer Whey was the first whey protein I used when I was about 16.(24 now) I have used it off and on ever since then and would use it more if it wasnt kind of expensive. I was pleased with the results and like the flavors.

I honestly think that Designer Whey has a different type of marketing/ad campaign than other protein/supplement companies. To my knowledge, they havent sponsored any bodybuilders(at least well-known ones), I think this may be one of the reasons why we dont hear too much about them. I think they try to appeal to a variety of different active populations.(featured in Muscle and Fitness hers etc.)They also make several proteins bars that are still pretty popular...like the Detour Bar etc. They used to make bars called Designer Whey Bars which were my personal favorite Protein Bar taste wise, but they did away with those.

Anyways, I like their products and havent ever heard anything otherwise. Anybody else???

I'm a fan of TrueProtein (not just because they are a sponsor)...it is actually pretty damn good...and it mixes better than any other protein I've had

I think most people just stick for the first one that they like...there are too many proteins out there that just taste like ass, and its not worth paying money just to test whether you like it or not

my 2 cents

I'm currently taking the French Vanilla Designer Whey. It's quite tasty (especially when mixed with skim milk). I've also had strawberry... which was also good. It mixes up pretty well with a decent shaker too.

I've been taking it for about 4 months and have noticed some pretty good results with it (although, to be honest I never really worked out without it enough to make a difference). It's about $27 per 5 pound jug.. so it's right up there with most other Whey Proteins.

If you're unhappy with your protein supp and want one that tastes good, I'd recommend it... Unless there's any other reasoning behind it's unpopularity on the forum (which was the reason for this thread).

I've tried Optimum 100% whey vanilla. Don't like it. Mixed with water it's even worse.
