Well i've been trying to get a decent shake for a while, I orginally used Dymatize "MEGA GAINER" which is loaded with sugars and maltodrexin (complex carb, but hi on the GI index). All other mass gainers are fairly expensive and maltodrexin.
Sooo, what I've recently been having is:
50g oats (used a blender to grind it to powder form)
~1 pint of milk
1-2 scoops of protein
This makes a 500cal~ shake with around 50/75 grams of protein and 50grams of mostly complex carbs!
I know it's simple, but it tastes great and is alot cheaper! It's also worth grinding the oats up to powder form, i've tried it without and it made me urge!!
