Whey Protein Problems

I have a 5lb jar of ON Whey Gold "Cookies and Cream"
I understand I am suppose to drink it with water, so it enters my blood stream faster then if I were to use milk.
I have had it before, but I was new to it and always used milk for it.
I ran out, and then baught myofusion strawberry and loved it with water.
But I wanted to stick with ON whey, so I got a 5 lb jar.
Tried it with water, and its not enjoable what so ever. Awsome with milk, but not water.
So is there anyway I can make this better? I only take it postwo, was going to ask if you think I should mix it with milk and take it like that before I go to bed. Anyways I need a solution, maybe i'll just get to use it. But it smells so different then the first time I ordered it, it smells just like coffee the other one didn't smell like coffee, but like cookies & cream. :(
I mix Creatine Mono with it, and doing that just makes it worse, because then I feel like I have sand in my mouth when I drink it and everytime I bite its like i'm eating sand.

Just down that crap with water post w/o. Chug it down, you'll be alright. Casein protein and milk is better before bed.

no doubt, I thought the samething when writing it, just hope I don't throw up when I do, I almost on the on whey double chocolate GROSS.
I currently don't work so I didn't buy any casein :(

Yeah man I hear ya. My post w/o is 2 scoops of whey and one scoop of waxy maize. The waxy makes it sooo thick and gooey even with water, I gagged the first few times I started using it. I use nutra bio protein now, it's better than ON in water plus it's got more BCAAs. All around better, I'll never use anything other than it from now on.

Couldn't pass it up, when I run out i'll get a jar of the butrabio seems legit.
How does it taste, and what flavors have you had?

Just drink it with milk. I really don't buy into all this fast absorbtion stuff and think it's just a marketing tool.

Huh what about the fact that Milk has casein. = slow digesting. Marketing for who the water company? Just wondering.

are you only using 1scoop.

Use 2scoops and use less water.

I think their banana and banana strwberry are good. The vanilla, chocolates and cookies and cream are not as good.

and like above, just chug it.

Yeah, that's a deal man. It tastes great, I've only used choc. it's good.

Marketing for the protein companies that sell the protein powder.

I have some protein powder (eas banana flavour). It is quite cheap a tastes o.k. but I am under no illiusion that it has any special properties that protein form natural sources would not have.

Yes it is prooven science that it is fast absorption but I have doubts that your body needs the protein to be absorbed any faster than a protein from a natural source would be.

Yeah but the comment was water vs milk. I dont understand where marketing plays a role with faster absorption taken with water or milk.

Sure fast absorption plays a role in nutrient timing. That statement means that you dont believe in nutrient timing whether it be food or supplement. Whey protein is absorbed into the body extremely fast which is key post workout. Will you build muscle without it of course but a bodybuilders key goal with supplements and nutrition is utilizing them at the right time. If you eat a piece of chicken breast post workout it will take your body a lot longer to break it down and digest where the whey protein is absorbed I think I read somewhere as fast as 15 min. Just simple science bro no marketing.

If your talking about one whey protein vs another than I can see where you have a valid opinion in regards to marketing.

honestly i would just throw it down with milk. not that im taking sides here, i just dont see how much it would really hinder you compared to water.

ya same haha less water more powder. it starts to taste more like what its actually supposed to. for example i use 6 oz water with 1.25? scoops of ON chocolate. not great, not terrible.

exactly what I use 6 oz water, and a rounded scoop.
with 5g creatine, I figured it out, when using it with water, "whey powder" use simple flavors vanilla, choclate "gross", strawberry "yum", etc.
Tend to go alot better with water, now casein with milk YUMMY with cookies n cream, peanut butter and chocolate. I figured it out now :)

ha sounds good. strawberry is hella good. and i would skip on the creatine and drink it separately. personal perference haha

ya it shouldnt be a problem tho, you gotta drink a sh*t ton of water anyway. but again personal preference. if it isnt broken, dont fix it.

I have a question, I have BBS Creatine Mono, I only take it once a day "postwo", and sometimes I take my prewo sometimes I don't "jack3d". The days I don't take my prewo should I take my Creatine Mono, prewo 5g, I take it postwo in my protein shake.

5 pre 5 post. unless your on loading week 10 pre 10 post. loading hasnt been proven to affect differently than without loading period, but alot of ppl do it anyway

I use 5g pre and 5g post as well. Post workout is the most important serving though.

casein makes everything in ur stomach digest slower? i thought that it was only the casein itself that digested slowly

IMHO it doesn't make that much of a difference.

sorry that's just my opinion.

i'd say, you can have it with milk if you want it's not a big deal to me at least.

Sometimes people seem to worry to much about these things which are somewhat insignificant to me. what matters more are things that are much more crucial like getting your diet right that people seem to get wrong 80% of the time.
