hey just ordered my superpump250 and the gaspari weightgainer just wondering because i read tht u shouldnt eat 45 mins before you have the superpump250 and you have to wait 30 mins before you train or something so when would i have my preworkout meal because mine is genrally about 30-40 mins before i go the gym, is superpump classed as a preworkout meal. also if i used my weightgainer and added dextrose to it tht would be ok for my postworkout meal? thanks for responses

IMO I dont think that weight gainers are well suited for post workout. I believe that pure whey protein Isolate is the way to go post workout.

I to use super pump 250
7:30 Iso shake with 1 cup oats added crea maybe blue berries
9:00 12 egg whites 2 cups oats
11:00 8oz bison breast 1.5 cups brown rice
11:40 superpump aminos crea
12:00 warm up
12:10 light weight

Have your normal preworkout meal an hour before taking the Superpump, wait half an hour then workout. Superpump's not a preworkout meal by itself because it doesn't have the protein and carbs you need preworkout.

I agree with Prime about not using gainers post workout. Especially if there's a lot of fat in it. Whey and dextrose is a better opinion IMO.

I use cytogainer for my post workout shake's my self. It has 570 cals 75 carbs 54 grams of protein. Only 60 grams from fat.

Sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread :P

Yup not to mention most gainers contain Casein protein.

I think he means measured dry, precooking, or wet, after cooking.

Most good gainers that I've seen are expensive. They're easier to eat than that much food, but I still think food's a better alternative. Unless you're really having trouble hitting your desired calorie intake.

I only understood because I made my own brown rice the other day for the first time lol. Usually I get those Uncle Ben's microwave packages but we were out so I resorted to the big bag of rice.

10-4 good buddy, casein is SLOOOW right after a workout. I'll agree with the "whey+dextrose is better" proposal.

If you're a hard gainer just do that gainer shake right before bed... or if you're a REAL hard gainer, pull a Cutler and wake up at 3am and have a shake then go back to bed.. haha

Seems a bit extreme, but I've heard good things, my friend/workout partner did it for a while and started to get gains, but he just got tired of not being able to fall back asleep.. I could probably do it.. I sleep like a baby, but I'm not a hard gainer

I can't tell you guys how many threads have talked about waking up at night for a protein shake. Unless you take the anabolics that Jay Cutler takes you can't do anything like him. If you train like him you'll over train if you eat like him you'll get fat. Just because Jay Cutler does it doesn't mean everyone else should.

The conclusion is usually that a good night's sleep is much more valuable than the protein shake. Just have protein before bed and you're fine.

True that sir, If I ate like Jay I'd die.. haha

I definitely don't get as much sleep as I should, it always comes down to the basics. Food+workout+rest=gains

I find it best to mix the NO products pre workout with some carbs, such a fruit.

Superpump sucked imo... I found NO Xplode much better! When Im going to use such supplements, I usually eat an ordinary meal (chicken breast/brown rice etc.) 2-1 hour before training, and then I use the NO product 30 mins before training. It works the best on an empty stomach because the body absorbes it better, but you also HAVE to have some food in your stomach to have a good workout so its a little tricky, but it usually goes well.

Superpump for me gives me really bad stomach problems... awful gas and just feels bad when it sits in my stomach. It doesn't happen straight after taking it but will start a few hours after training and then continue until the morning after.

Has anyone else had this experience with this product?
