recovery for a old guy

Hey guys! my dad is 58 and has been lifting for 20+ years and has started to complain about not being able to recover from sessions very well..anything natural a older guy can take to help out? thx

I think he posted a thread about this a little while ago. I told him to ask his doctor about getting testosterone replacement therapy in the form of an Androgel prescription. Thats the best you're gonna get, pretty much.

Edit - I just found it. If you can, try to get some health insurance that covers it. Or, see if your doctor can give you some free samples of it at least. At 60 years old thats pretty much the only thing thats gonna help, oral prohormones aren't worth it, not at that age without health insurance, if something bad happens you're screwed.

All the natural stuff is pretty much crap. I'm only 22 but was prescribed androgel for my low test which is probably happening to you based on your age. This stuff seems to work pretty well. I have only been on it a month but I am noticing small changes. I am getting it free because of insurance, you probably could too.

Yes I did post earlier for myself age 37.. I thought there may be something different for my pops since he was older...58 I wasnt trying to get a different answer by inventing a "friend".. Thanks for the assumption though BUD.I didnt appreciate the inference that I was fishing.He has good insurance so hell ask about the gel..Thanks

Whoa, chill out dude. Did that post even seem like I was inferring anything? No, it looked like you didn't get any straight answers and you were making another thread, so cool your jets. lol I have been trying to get younger ! All I've found that will help with that is younger women and for the expense ,the halflife sucks! lol Yes I did take offense when I read that " I think he posted something earlier in a diff. thread". I get tired of those people who argue the answers and change screen names until they get that one person to agree with they're point of view. I apologize for goin off on ya man.

Its fine dude. I meant that as in, I was thinking out loud because I remember helping him with advice in another thread. It wasn't mean to come off accusingly. But honestly, if you can try to get the androgel, that would work very very well. Thats the best I would recommend, because at 60 years old he doesn't want to mess with oral prohormones. Thats a big big no.

No problem dude, let me know how that goes, see how it works out with the insurance. I work in a pharmacy so I know that insurance companies are a pain in the ass.
