Would supplements like glutamine, whey protein, BCAA's be beneficial before/after sports practices?

yes,, anytime you have exercised your body will be looking for nutrients to replenish what it has used to keep your body fueled,

I would say out of your list, the whey and BCAA`s are great, also throw in some carbs before and after along with the whey protein,, would say the glutamine is a waste of money though, since most proteins will already have glutamine in the powder..

cosign Mike

and make sure to take the BCAA's after the Sport/practice in order to stop the catabolic effects of the workout because when the amino acids are not bound together by the peptide bond that makes them protein they transfer into your blood faster. Post workout is were your test levels will elevate and you want to extend this high level for as long as possible in order to make good gains.

5g of BCAA's with a simple carbo 30mins before exercise will be benefecial to any athlete, also 20-30g of why protein with a simple carbo post exercise will be extremely benefecial to your recovery.
