Hey guys, I currently take Animal Pak which is widely known as a very high concentration of vitamins, so most know we wont absorb everything in it. My question is, does anyone else have extremely bright urine from it sometimes? Im talking almost green colored? Is it safe to be taking if your urine is going to look nuclear, im pretty sure its fine and its just a large amount of vitamins being released but I just wanted to check. It can be kind of wierd to drink ovver a gallon of water and see lightly green urine....lol. Thanks for any help!

It is nothing to worry about, it is just the body excreting the excess b vitamins.

I had this trouble when i took a free sample of a multi vit that was meant to be top of the range. It was glow in the dark piss haha.

My teacher said it meant i had too much acid in my body. It was only a free sample anyway and the tubs of that brand are expensive as hell so i wont be getting anymore.

Yup I take animal pak and have neon pee. Awww Manu hate my belches after animal pak u can just smell the vitamins.

U oughta try peeing somewhere public and leaving that glow in the dark urine there. Guy who comes behind probably would be like what the hell. Lmao

No, I have found the color of urine when dehydrated to be a very different color compared to that of the b vitamin excretion.

absolutely nothing to worry about.. i have this with my multi that isn't animal pak.

i actually like the glow in the dark pee - saves on electricity.

I have also noticed that when im really dehydrated, my urine tends to be a dark yellow color, but the excess witman urine tends to be a more bright color. Thanks for the fast responses guys

This has happened to me as well when taking animal pak. I've noticed dehydration pee tends to be more on the orange side, while the animal pak pee is definitely more green. After a while i got used to it.

This makes me wonder though, if you're peeing the B vitamins out, does that make the vitamin pak inefficient? Ideally we should be absorbing all of it, so if it's a higher amount than we can absorb, doesn't that make it a waste?

B vitamins are water-soluble vitamins, so that means the excess would be excreted through the urinary tract. Also the body can only absorb(and/or store) so much b-complex because of that, it obviously depletes quickly, thats why I believe in taking an extra b-complex in addition to a multi-vitamin. Also make sure to take around a meal to maximize absorption, also folic acid can increase the rate its absorbed also, not sure if Animal Pak has that.

Dehydration looks dark yellow/orangish. If you have bright neon colored urine its the B vitamins. Nothing to worry about, your body is getting rid of the excess vitamins. Our Baseball team would take Vitamin B12 pills before a game then go piss in the toilette to see how bright it would be. Kind of childish, but we were in high school then =D

i think animal pak does it more than most other multi's cause i used to take animal pak and my urine was a freakishly bright color now i take a reg multi and it still bright but not nearly as bright
