Good question, I hope Hdogg has an answer, but my guess is on an "off" day.
a.) your body has a need for more nutrition and calories due to the recovery process
b.) you will stay in an anabolic state after the work out as long as you continue to keep a positive nitrogen balance. Meaning include protein in your cheat meals.
I could be off, but this is just my guess. I personally don't even cheat anymore unless I've trained and roided for like 8 weeks, then I'll go clean from the drugs and cheat for like 2 days, usually saturday and sunday.
