Creatine: Water or Grape Juice

I would like to get everyone else's opinion on this. For the past 10 years, I have heard everyone say that creatine needs to be taken with grape juice and not water. However, I have always taken it with water and my reasoning is very simple: grape juice is loaded with sugar, which is obviously no good for pre-workout.

Not to mention I have found it easiest if I just mix the creatine with my whey shake pre and post workout (I take 10g of creatine a day, 5 before my workout and 5 after).

I have tried to find some research on the matter but have not been very successful. I'd love to hear some opinions on the matter, and if anyone has scientific reasoning, I'd love to hear from you.

I take creatine twice(morning and post) but both with water and wms or something to the affect of that, don't take it with grape juice as it is fructose.

I haven't heard of many people that take creatine pre-workout. On the label of my bottle, it advises to take with grape juice on an empty stomach in the morning and post workout. I have used both water and grape juice, and I noticed more effects while using grape juice. The sugar in it is supposed to be beneficial to insulin levels affecting how your body reacts to the creatine. I know that mike40+ has had some in-depth posts about creatine use in a few different threads.

Is there such a thing as cheap creatine that doesnt taste like ass? Used to take Sizeon but its way to pricy and only got it because I got a good deal when I was getting some Superpump.

high power creatine, tastes like ass but there smaller and dissolve easier. If u mix it in a protein shake u dont even taste it, if all fails u can resort to caps.

I've been using Prolab's creatine mono for a while, fairly cheap but is pretty much tasteless and doesn't feel sandy like some other cheap creatine's I've had.
