I have a question concerning my post workout supplement routine. Currently I drink a serving of Cellmass immediately following my workout, which requires me to wait 30-45 minutes before I eat anything however I have read a bunch of articles informing me to have a protein drink immediately following my workout. My question is; am I already doing the correct thing by drinking the Cellmass serving, and then following it up with a meal, or is there another recommended way?

Protein before and after workout. No exceptions. Take the creatine drink the same time everyday regardless of what the directions say. I take mine at noon. You need to feed the muscle first before you load it with water.

some people suggest having creatine and/or dextrose( or some form of simple carbs) immediately then about 5-20min after that a protein shake and another 30min after that a small meal, i like to take whey/creatine/dextrose as soon as i get home and by the time i fix up my meal its about 10-20mins after that shake and then i eat, i figure i havent had any food in about 3-5hours so i really dont need to let the shake sit for too long until its absorbed. Its a preference thing though i know someone is bound to come here and bark at me saying its fine to take complex carbs over simple carbs post w/o. There's no right or wrong answer here imo.

Great response bro. I do the same. I finish working out and immediately get downstairs and begin fixing my shake of whey / creatine. After it's blended, I suck that down and 30 to 45 minutes later I am eating a good protein filled meal with some carbs, (not too much) because it's so late. I tend to eat my complex-carb meals in the morning and mid afternoon before workouts because I need energy to work out. You really just have to find what works for you, which is unfortunate to hear because it's trial and error for most. Good luck bro.

That seems okay to me. However, I'd mix it up just to see what works best for you. Post workout, I chug down a protein shake with added dextrose. I usaually eat about 45 minutes to an hour later, and the only reason I go with 45 minutes is because I can't even think about eating anything any sooner after drinking that god awefully sweet shake.

As for what to eat after a workout, well, I eat whatever the wife makes since it's about dinner time an hour after I get done working out. Some nights it's a great meal for body building, and some nights it's more like a college student meal. I take what I can get, lol.
