My current work schedule has forced me to workout Friday-Monday nights, taking Tuesday-Thursday off. I know this isn't the best, but it's what I have to work with until June.

With my last workout on Monday, I am pumped! By the time Wednesday rolls around, I feel no pump, and by Thursday before my PM workout, I feel small.

Is there something I can take that will help me keep that pump on my off days? I currently take Whey protein every morning with breakfast, 2 scoops of Jacked pre-workout, protein and dextrose post-workout, and a crapload of whole foods vitamins.

Thanks.

A sustained release NO will give you pumps through out the day, also a supplement with nutrient partitioning effects can give you "food pumps" through out the day.

What are the different nutrient partioners and how do they work?

So...carbs? J/k

I use white rice 0500-1700, and no carbs after 1700. I am kinda flat in the morning until about an hour after my first meal at 0500.

Supplement with nutrient partitioning effects, simply work to use your carbs as efficiently as possible.. there are a few products you could look into, including the one in my sig.

You're up early!

white rice works for me, don't know why. It leans me out and gives me crazy pumps. I sometimes use brown rice but it takes so long to cook.

White rice would scare based on what you said, but my diet is strict, clean, and legit, no margin for error.

Have a good day

A good way to LOOK pumped all the time is to lose body fat and become more vascular because of it. :)

Okay, I was humoring ya'll with my last post, but really...are we on the carb-boat here? I already knew this...yeah, food makes ya big, and good carbs are good.

I was asking about a supplement...since we are in the supplement section.

Its broken down by its Glycemic Index. White rice has a GI of 56, the higher the number the more of an insulin spike you will have. Oddly the GI of an apple is 38 and an orange is 42. The highest is glucose with a 100, hope this helps.

I dont know why it seems odd that an apple has a lower GI rating than an orange... there is alot to an apple, whereas an orange is mainly thin membranes and juices.

I always thought that fruit provided a higher insulin spike and that they are simple carbs.

Insulin is released by the Pancreas in response to high levels of blood glucose, not blood fructose. Reasons for controlling blood glucose are to prevent hyperglycemia (high blood glucose) and hypoglycemia (low blood glucose), as this can have severe health consequences including hypoglycemic shock (worst case scenario you can have a coma from this). Glucose and Fructose are both mono saccharides (ie sugars), but fructose makes up the sugar content of fruit. It is for this reason that fructose has little to no impact on insulin levels.

I agree, look into something like USPlabs Anabolic-Pump, USPlabs P-Slin or BPS Slin-Sane. Each of these products work differently for jam packing your muscles with complex carbs and nutrients.

Nice explanation man. I had no clue glucose and fructose varied in how your body responds to it.

Would this be something to take on "off" days?

GI is outdated now really,

Long grain white rice has a lower GI than medium brown rice, but it still lacks the fibre of brown rice so its not time to make the swap sorry guys

BTW did someone mention carbs for staying pumped? Also anabolic pump is t3h pwnzer
