Ive been doing a bit of reading into creatine and taking it with high GI carbs to improve uptake of the creatine but why Grape juice? to me its stupid we all know about fructose and what kind of an insulin response that brings on,
Now your all saying yea yea but im not drinking dextrose+creatine in water that would taste like ass and sure enough, but why not munch on a big baked potato and have the creatine with a mouthfull of water?
From what i know "white" grape juice is about 50/50 glucose/fructose,
Have we all been mislead or am i missing something?

I also bring this

The concept behind taking creatine with sugar such as grape juice is sound. But the trick is not the grape juice per serving. It has to do with insulin's function in the body. For creatine uptake to be enhanced, insulin release should be encouraged. Insulin functions as a kind of creatine pump, pushing it into muscles. If you're going to stick to juice, make sure you get at least 100g of juice for every 5g of creatine. Depending on your level and your goals, juice loaded with sugars may not be suitable. Newer research indicates that you can take your creatine with protein for the same results. A new study reports that taking 5g of creatine with 50g of protein/47g of carbs produced the same results as taking 5g with 96g of carbs.

Don't mix with your protein shake IMO.

I think post workout should be a fast digesting carb(wms, malto, dextrose, white rice, white bread, white potatoe) mixed with creatine.

Than next should be your BCAA(if you have it, if unflavored mix with protein)

Last should be protein, as some proteins contain fats, or slow digesting proteins, you want the creatine and bcaa to get shuttled around with out being slowen down by the protein. Just my 2cents.

Because creatine manufacturers want to make it more appeasing to customers, so they usually instruct "take one serving with 4-8oz of juice", than somewhere along the line some one decided that grape juice was the best juice to take it with, when all reality no juice is because they all contain fructose, like you stated. Your better off utilizing sodium as your creatine transporter.

Ah that probably solves it then,
People need to harden up and drink their plain creatine and dextrose in normal old water haha

Water, 1/2 teaspoon salt, fast digesting carb and your good to go. The salt is optional but I have started to use it, and believe in it.
