So, I have started taking in 50 grams of Maltodextrin/Dextrose in my post workout drink. I have been doing this for about 2 weeks and I like it, it seems to be working well for me. However, I have noticed that on off days when I dont work out and dont drink a post workout Maltodextrin/Dextrose/Protein shake....I get a horrible headache(I work out at around 5 A.M.). I'm guessing it has something to do with my insulin or blood sugar levels. But, Im just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else?? As soon as I eat something with sugar in it, the headache goes away. I just think it's weird.

yeah, now you have becom dependant on the sugar. it sux, it happened to me durring school. i just didnt take in as much. if you wait long enough and deal with the headaches then it will go away after awile. i say wait it out or lower the amunt of sugar, then bring it up gradually to 50g.

Oh, ok. Thanks Gumby!! Im happy it isnt just me. I think I'll try that. It hasnt been happening to Eli, so I was wondering....

Yep, 5am before work. I like working out in the morning.

it isnt hapening to him because he is bigger, a 200lb guy (or whatever he is) can absorb a lot more stuff then a 130lb chick.

damn, i usually take 100 grams of malto/dex post workout, hopefully all that sugar wont turn me into a fat diabetic

!8, I take about a 100 also (230 pounds). She takes 50 cause she about 130.

i take in snickers and coke after a workout....mmmmmmm....snickers. once i get back into the swing of eating healthy, i take in about 75g, and i will weigh about 185 offseason.
