Hey guys, I just bought some creatine monohydrate and I have a couple of questions. How many times a day should I take some? Do I have to do something different out there when I work out?

Any advices are welcome

creatine is pretty simple man... i would take 10g per day, 5g wen u wake up and 5g post WO... take it with a bunch of sugar

Some people will say 5g first thing in the morning and 5g post WO and others 5g pre-WO and 5g post WO, I usually take it 5g pre and 5g post.

be sure to drink a full eight ounce glass of good water 8 times a day. Creatine pulls water from other parts of the body to perform its work in cell volumization of the muscle. This is what makes the muscle larger and firmer. Replenish your H2O!

Muscle tissue is approximately 70% water.. staying well hydrated is key when taking creatine and achieving the results you want, you want your muscle cells to be hydrated. The more fluid inside the muscle cell, the larger the muscle cell will be (increasing fluid volume just a few percent can have an impact on muscle size and strength..) When taking a pre-workout formula that contains creatine (like super pump, i think?), should you still have a scoop of pure creatine in the morning and post workout.

It will increase Insulin since Insulin breaks down sugar and spiked Insulin will help with creatine uptake.

^ insulin is a transporter as blood glucose rises the pancreas releases insulin which transports glucose, amino acids creatine and other things into muscles which in turn like T.O said it will increase uptake of the creatine

last creatine cycle i did, this worked very well for me. it felt like i was on a pro-hormone except without the strength increase. i just felt like i had so much more stamina

increase water intake to 1.5 gallons a day if your daily activities besides working out are low. if they're high, drink 2-2.5 gallons.

week 1
take 30g of creatine daily

take 10g in the morning with your breakfast if you workout late afternoon or take this serving later at night if you workout in the morning.
you can mix this with, apple juice, grape juice, or your protein powder.

take 10g of creatine monohydrate about one hour before the workout.

then, take another 10g of creatine monohydrate with your post-workout shake or your post-workout meal.

weeks 2-8

take creatine at the same time but lower dosage by 1/2. so you're taking 5g three times a day.

idk, this worked better for me than just taking 5-10 grams a day.

I take 15g a day, 5g after breakfast, 5g 30min before workout, 5g right towards the end of my workout. I feel that works best for me. The Sugar stuff is interesting might give it a shot but exactly how much sugar though?

cosign, ive gotten the best gains taking 15g year round, no loading phase or anything. I always take it with protein even though some people suggest you take it with just sugar or alone in water then a protein shake i've never found any difference.

I prefer powder as pills is slightly more expensive and powder gets absorbed faster due to the caps having to break down first. Yes dextrose in gatorade will suffice.
