So I am on a limited budget budget but would like to try a N.O. booster before and after my workout. The cheapest I could find was Muscle Fortress. Is this stuff crap? If so, what brand should I stick with? I would rather pay a little more and get something that works if Nos Pump by Muscle Fortress is garbage.

Last of all, are there any reccomendations for a good place to get decent supplements online for a reasonable price? I appreciate any help!

Ryan

Gaspari Superpump250

Muscletech NanoVapour

BSN N.O Xplode

USPlabs Jacked (underdog)

The top 3 are your main NO's and USPlabs is the little underdog that is making as great reputation for itself. Ive tried N.O Xplode and it worked well for the first 2 weeks then kinda tippled off to being less effective and the days went on from there. Next im going to try USPlabs because it's had such great reviews.

Hope i helped.

IMO i wouldnt worry about the preworkout supplement unless you already have a protein powder and a multi v. I Think those would be more beneficial but if you already have those try lookin at one of these websites. orbitnutrition.com and sbmuscle.com

If you really are on a tight budget then why buy a NO supplement? I'd only consider one of those if I had money to spare.

If you going to buy one, you my as well get the hottest one on the market, and one of the lowest priced.. USPLabs Jacked use one of the 5% off codes and it will take a small amount off also.

Wow, I am new to the dungeon and didn't expect so much good advice so quickly. This is awesome.

Sounds like Jacked is the way to go, so I'll give it a try. By limited budget I mean that I am paying for school and my wife and I are saving for a few things so if the Walmart version works then that is what we will budget for. However, if the Walmart version doesn't last as long as the Jacked stuff then it is pretty clear that going with the better product makes more sense. Thanks again for the advice.

Don't bother with any expensive N.O. crap. If you are on a limited buget, buy 1000mg arginine tablets, or arginine powder, and take 10g before your workout and 5g before bed. Or something along those lines.

Arginine inhibits your body's levels of somatostatin, which in turns BOOSTS your growth hormone release by a LOT. Which helps a hell of a lot more than just getting a little pump.

If this is true then I am going to start supplementing NO products again, stopped after taking NO-Xplode in the Summer.

I knew there was 45 in there some where, it has the possibility to be 45 servings, depending on how you respond.

My personal opinion would be if you are on a limited budget NO supplementation should be last on your list. There is limited research showing NO having any benefit alone. Combined into a preworkout stack it works great for motivation and nice pumps and vascualrity.

I would say NO and Preworkout supps would be on the lower end of my must have bodybuilding list:

1. Food & H20 (good clean food can make ALL the difference)
2. Whey
3. Multivitamin/Mineral
4. Fish oil
5. Creatine
6. Other supps (Test booster, NO, preworkout, fat burner)
7. Exotics
Also:

Orbit and Nutraplanet would be the two places I would even think of giving my business too.

Well chimera my point was that you can get the same pump and GH release with cheaper products rather than spend a lot of money on what is basically arginine and caffeine.

Jacked is a solid product. I bought 3 in the initial sale. I then sold a buddy on it as well. Every time we worked out "Hey you got the jacked" lol

I heard it tastes better and has the ingredients upped since the first run.

Also 45 servings is if you are only using 1 scoop so thats somehtign to keep in mind.

If you are stim resistant like myself you may need the top dose of 3 scoops so "only" 15 workouts. Still a good deal that beats most and gives a good clean energy and slight focus increase. Pump was decent nothing dramatic. Definitely worth a try and has proven ingredients.

Thats true dude, I was mostly referring to N.O. Xplode and stuff like that. Although jacked doesn't have a WHOLE lot of arginine in it per serving. 10g is usually the rule of thumb i think, but whatever. its a solid product.

Also:

Orbit and Nutraplanet would be the two places I would even think of giving my business too.
Sorry guys, I should have left the limited budget part out and let the title of my post be "is a N.O. product worth the money?" I guess everyone truly has a limited budget. Didn't mean to paint the wrong picture.

Hope you guys don't mind, I've got some more questions based on the post from Grambo:

1. My food intake is 6-8 clean meals a day and I drink a ton of water so I am good on this one.
2. For protein I usually stick with muscle milk but I am certainly open to everybody's suggestions if there is a better bang for the buck.
3. I am taking a multi-vitamin everyday but again it is the generic store brand. Is that good enough?
4. I am not taking any fish oil in but will pick some up when I am at the supp store next.
5. I am taking creatine 30 days on 10 days off, 1 teaspoon in the morning and one before my workout. I am taking the Precision Engineered brand Creatine monohydrate and it makes me sick to my stomach most of the time. Is it creatine or the brand that is making me sick?
6.It sounds like N.O. is worth checking out and isn't a waste of money so I am going to pick up the Jacked stuff based on all the recommendations. I will be sure to follow up with results.
7. Don't know what exotics are but they sound expensive and I haven't figured out the basics yet.

Sorry to hit you guys with so many questions at once. I am new to this so please accept my apologies if my post should be split into several different threads. I really appreciate all the responses.

Ryan

Hey this place is all about asking questions! We are here to help.

Lets see what I can do:

2. Muscle milk sure tastes good and using it would depend on your goal as it does have a good dose of fats in them and during a bulking cycle not a huge deal especially if just using a shake or two. It is expensive though and not ideal for postworkout.

You should pick yourself up some Whey protein as it is exactly what you need post-workout as it is fast digesting protein..

3. The multi issue has been debated in another thread and it is interesting stuff. I would go with a little better brand if you have the cash that is more athlete oriented. I like the MVP/ZMK combo and also Controlled Labs Orange Triad that has joint stuff in it as well.

4. Fish oil, good call gets some.

5. Creatine, is your type creapure? like is is really fine or more clumpy? Some people have problems with the cheaper creatines out there. You also just may be sensitive to monohydrate and could look into another type like bulk creatine gluconate or kre-alklyn. How has it been working for you?

6. I liked jacked and is especially good for a first time NO adn preworkout. Great pumps, good focus, no stomach discomfort at all. Even some of my favorite pre-workout products send me to the bathroom pre-workout lol

7. Exotics are anything after basics I just thought it would sound cool here haha good call just get the basics and grow naturally as long as possible.

Anything else just post up!

The creatine I have been using is really fine and it is working but sometimes I get the burning in my stomach. I'll try one of the others you recommended when my supply runs out. Too bad that I still have a crapload of it but whatever....it works.

I'm going to miss the taste but I'll go for some plain whey.

So far everyone inn the post seems to like jacked so I am hoping to pick some up before the end of the week.

Thanks again for all the posts!!
