Let me start out by saying im 15 years old going on 16, i weight 130 pounds and im around 5'7. Ive got really low body fat, and im pretty ripped.

But im new to drinking creatine,i started it because im getting into a higher level of competition with my football team and i need a little extra help.

I bought Six Star Creatine, is it any good?

How much should i be taking a day, when should i be taking it?

How much water should i be drinking daily?

Six Star is not the best brand out there, but it isn't horrible.

You can do a loading phase if you want:
7 days
20g a day
4 times a day
5g each time

After just take either 5g or 10g a day:
If 5g(take 2.5g twice)
If 10g(take 5g twice)

I prefer taking it in the morning and post workout because that is when I take in simple sugars and spike my insulin increasing the absorption. But a lot of people like to take it Pre workout and Post workout.

During the loading phase:Morning,Mid Morning,Pre,Post

Drink atleast 1gallon of water a day on creatine.

All depends, if you have good diet and training and other things, I don't notice HUGE differences when taking creatine, but I have found myself to have more endurance, intramuscular water.

*results may vary

creatine will start to work when your muscles are fully saturated, the reason you heard 1 week is because 1week is after your loading phase and they are fully saturated then you do your maintenance phase as stated above. anywhere after 1week you will notice an improvement

I appreciate all of the help. Is the loading process neccesary. Cause i cant really afford to waste a creatine bottle so quickly.

no its not necessary but it will speed up saturation into the muscles allowing for results to come quicker and strength to go up more.

Hey little man, you shouldnt be loading on creatine at 15. I bet if you started eating more and downing protein your gonna see the results you want.

I still don't believe that creatine is harmful to younger people, I mean a 12 year old definitely doesn't need to be taking it, but at 16 it is fine, as long as your not doing seriously bone headed things with it. From all studies I have read, its safe for everyone.

But I do agree with eating healthier and getting in your protein.

personally for me at first, i didn't feel or see any difference when doing 5g post workout.

in my 2nd cycle i did 5g immediate pre workout and 5g post, i notice the creatine before w/o gave me a slight boost to my energy levels... or maybe its just a placebo effect i dunno :)

Great post Allstar the only thing that i see could be added is that creatine should be cycled.i prefer 4 weeks on and 4 off now that's just me/others may be different.
