man dude, you cant even get like some cans of tuna? i believe you could be ok having the powder , but just a salad is really a crappy diet, is there meat on the salad or just the bags of lettuce? i believe canned tuna is like 50c and it would be way more beneficial than just the protein powder, i believe on the jug or bag of your protein it states not to be used solely as your dietary intake of foods, i dont think it will cause you any harm, but is there no other way to even buy the cheapest foods?

I have to agree with mike on this,., protein powder & casein is a good start, but you need to somehow get more food into your body..

You need to pick up some cheap carbs. I would suggest oats and brown rice. Then starting adding in more variety as you can.

You don't have to worry about mercury at 1 can/day. Mostly the only ones who need to worry are pregnant/lactating women.

if you're that low on cash, drop the supplements and spend that money on food.

supplements cost more than food anyway and food is better.

i havnt bought any more supplements. i bought all my supps about three months ago. i was making great money, but everything with da economy went to da **** and my hours went way down. if i have extra money from my paycheck, yeah, ill buy meat and chicken and my essentials. but since all i have is salads and powders for the next two week till my next paycheck. i just wanted to know if any damage would come from drinking a **** load of powder drinks all day.

well not really, your body will take what it needs from the amino`s and the whey is loaded with BCAA`s which you need for muscle growth, what your body does not utilize will get extracted just like a meal would, but the benefits of eating whole foods is going to be the biggest factor in overall gains or losses in bf, your not going to be doing you body any damage, but with just protein you really need to drink at the least 1 gallon of water a day, the higher amounts of protein can be a bit harder on your kidneys so just make sure to drink lots of water..

Not saying it's right but a guy i worked with for a while used to compete. He would eat nothing but salad with mustard and water for dressing, I can't remember how many weeks out he did this though. BUt he won every comp he was in..lol.. That was the old school way he said but now everything is so technical with diet and more to the point.

But I know how the money thing can be. You know ramen noodles are cheap as heck, maybe pick up some of those. Look for the buy one get one free sales on stuff, a lot of places have them quite often and you can get some goo deals or sometimes half off sales. I would say to be healthy you might need more then protein powder and salad though. I hope things turn around for you though.
