yea you can, or you could drink your cell mass first wait like 30 min. and drink your syntha-6, you will still be in the "window" of nutrient uptake if you get your syntha-6 into your system in that time frame,

I just realized something after reading up on this a bit....syntha6 is a time release product whereas the only time i take protein shakes is postworkout and that's usually around 830pm. Is it okay to replace my current protein (NST from Bally's) with this Syntha6??? Thanks MIke for the quick response btw!

well ideally a faster absorbing protein like whey is preferred as a post workout drink and the synta-6 would be more of a bedtime drink since it has the longer releasing or absorbing rate of proteins that would sustain you during the night, here is a link about the synta-6 and review on it, it is a excellent protein by all means tho,

If your that close to bedtime, use the synta-6, its got a mix of fast whey isolate and the time release form,, you body will benefit from the longer lasting protein..

But Mike's suggestion is good also..

yep missed that , good catch chris.. that would benefit for ya Razorhail, unless you stayed up late and could get in another meal or shake before bed, but chris has a good point, if its 8:30 in the evening you need to asses your needs, but either way you will be fine, whey or the syntha-6, since it has like chris said the mix of fast and the slow release proteins..

Thanks Mike and Chris! Now i'm excited to buy that stuff! Yeah i totally wasnt sure if, since i was so close to bedtime anyway, i can still take it. But yeah like Chris was talking about. I'm out of the gym at 830, and in bed by 10 since i'm up everyday at 5 am.....thanks guys!

Well that depends on you,, its at the end of the day. You could if your bulking.. if not just use one scoop. And take into account the calories from your day already.. And the fact that your sleeping.. its slow digesting.. Your body will love it.. lol

One more question, to those now using ON instead of Syntha6, are you guys using ON the same way you were using Syntha6 in terms of two scoops with water? Also are both products almost equal in terms of results?

Remember ON whey is an isolate, ( quick absorbing protein ), for pre & post workouts.. Some ( like me) use both..

Allstar made a thread about how much protein is needed post workout.. read that. It clinically states that 20 grams is sufficient.. So pre & post do 1 scoop of ON Whey..

At night when your body is at rest, use the Casein ( synta-6 ) type.. slow digesting protein.
