I would highly suggest purchasing the ON Whey/Casein Pack, you get both 2lb jugs of whey and casein along with a really nice shaker bottle, that's what I do.

Opitumum Nutrition
ISS
CytoSport

All make casein based protein powders.

Also BSN Syntha 6 contains casein.

optimum is legit, and even their **** doesn't mix particularly well, but that is characteristic of casein, so if there existed a magically cheap casein i doubt if it would mix any better than mud.

right now, I'm just trying to gain muscle slowly, I eat a very clean high calorie diet and do a fair amount of cardio to keep the bf down. I've been having great results, its been taking me a lot longer to gain muscle then when I used to bulk hardcore but the gains are still very consistent.

Peanut butter works great, almond butter could be a better choice even. Or you could just eat unsalted walnuts or almonds.

If you're trying to bulk I would keep the cardio down a little bit. You're trying to keep as many calories as you can.

I calculated it, and gram for gram of protein, its actually cheaper for me to buy casein protein powder than tubs of cottage cheese.
