Hey guys, so my dad just brought home the kind of protein powder that his friend who's been lifting for 30 years uses. Matrix brand, a big 5lbs bag of it. I compared it to ON and this **** has twice the BCAAs and at least twice all the others only thing is that is doesn't have proline, crystine, tyrosine, serine or glycine.

I've never heard of any of those being too important and I think that as long as I eat complete proteins it's alright if my whey doesn't have all the non essentials.

What do you guys think about this, more essentials and less non essentials or an even ratio, which is most important PWO?

I get mine for 35 per 5 pound bag from a gym around here. I have vanilla but I mix it with water so it doesn't taste too great.

You mean Syntrax Matrix 5.0?? i have a bag right now. Good stuff! Lots of servings and its a protein blend. The only downside is that the orange and cookies n cream are the only flavors that taste good. I've gotten the chocolate and the vanilla and they taste HORRIBLE.

Am I the only one?

Guys it has been at least 2 months since i had a break i do heaps of weights and running should you break every 8 weeks

casein protein i'm taking ON casein protein heard that it can be bad for you any thoughts? and just woundering about Max's Nite time protein any good?

^ CAsein's fine but I prefer cottage cheese. And to answer your question, just take abreak whenever you feel like you need one. If you're not gaining, tired and sore then take 3-5 days off.

yea mike, i found the matrix brand at bb.com for under 40 dollars, wonder if orbit is going to carry it, would rather buy from orbit than bb.com but ON whey is great also, another new one on the market by lg sciences, its got some new protein,>> sells for 5 Lbs. $29.99 on bodybuilding.com, orbit does not have it yet

if your taking protein powder should you take amio acid tables as well for extra boost and size or not?

I think BCAAs are a very important supplement to take, I would suggest Scivation Xtend.
