This girl I know started taking hydroxycut, because she thinks she's fat and she says that she lose 10lbs in the first week of taking it. That's really not fat though so I'm not sure if this is healthy, what do you guys think?

Yeah I noticed that. I don't have a picture of her, idk if I can get one, but she said she was 29% bodyfat and lost 10lbs last week. The bf was taking in school a few months ago though so I don't know how accurate it is.

But I mean is 10lbs a week ever healthy? And of course that's a lot of muscle being burned too. If these fat burners burn muscle too I'm never taking them.

If she dropped her carbs a bunch when she started taking it its definitly possible she dropped a lot of water that first week. As long as it levels out to around 2 lbs a week I wouldn't worry too much about it. When I start dieting for show I almost always lose that much the first week.

well at 29% body fat it pretty easy to asume 10 lbs of weighs being lost is mostly water. 5-6 lb of water in acouple of day is not rare. In fact in junction with not eaing much I can see 20lbs being possible. I just hope she has adjusted her diet for weigt loss and not jus simply eaing less.

No I mean she's been bulimic before and isn't at all a bodybuilder. She doesn't exercise much, and eats like 1000 calories a day, I hope it was just water but don't these weight loss supps make you lose fat not water?

How should I tell her to change her diet for weight loss, and not just eating less. She eats mostly salads and is hoping to lose another 10lbs this week.

i dunno i read for you first 2 sentences twice still dosnt make sense. 'and it's at all a bodybuilder.' ??? 'Does exercise much eats like 1000 calories a day' ??? I would say yes def mostly water weight. And hes def hasnt been eating like that long if shes 29% bf. The hype on weather fat burners work very well is still controversial. Weight loss occurs mostly because the person also starts exercising and watching there diet more the same time they start taking the fatburners. Sounds like she has some body image problems and should talk to a councilor, definelty shouldnt be taking fatburners at 15 and needs to deal with the bulimia issue.
