So I was taking creatine for a five months unknowingly. And I started having chest pains that didn't stop till 3 days later when I stopped taking creatine.

Well i took a month off and haven't had chest pains or anything and I haven't had my heart checked till the other day and the doctor said that somethign sounds a little off so I'm having an ultrasound of my heart. That's tomorrow, and I'm wondering if the creatine would have something to do with that.

I bought Superpump before I know that it had creatine in it so I'm gonna finish taking that and I have some other creatine products that I'd like to finish before taking a few months off.

Have any of you had this problem or heard about it?

He told me to stop taking the creatine which I did for a month. But he said that I should never take it and all I need's a vitamin, but I can't only take a vitamin.

I have never heard of creatine causing or having heart problems.. Are you sure its due to creatine and not a pre-existing condiition?

yeah I've never heard of that either. Did they give you an ekg? I used to get bad chest pains and thought it was my heart but found out it's precordial catch syndrom and it's normal to some people. Let us know what the ultrasound says mike. Hope it's nothing.

creatine cannot cause heart problems. this supp is a natural thing that you eat in fish and beef anyways so why the hell would a little extra cause heart problems. you probably have heart palpataions which isnt uncommon and its just now showing its head.

Well I was taking first Nitro tech for a month and then Anabolic Halo for a month then Cell tech for a month. Then Anator P70 and Ce2 for a month then AnatorP70 for another week.

So a lot, my mom and doctor said it was the creatine cuz it causes muscles to hold water and the heart's a muscle and it might have caused an enlarged heart or somehting like that.

It took a lot of creatine before I started feeling that and that was after a night of partying I drink about 13 beer and nothign else so I was dehydrated when I first felt it and it didn't no away till 3 days later and after stopping taking the creatine.

I'm not bull****ting here. The reason why is because Muscletech sneaks it in their products, I read the entire container of the Nitro tech, other then the ingredients. Same with everything else other then the the Cell tech.

I knew I was taking it for 2 out of the 5 months.

First, theres a big difference between skeletal and cardiac muscle fibers.

Second, creatine is a naturally occuring amino acid that you ingest in beef and fish.

Third, nothing against your doctor, but ask him if he even know how creatine works, or what amino acids its made from. Just because he's a doctor, doesn't mean he specializes in nutrition, or sports nutrition, or anything similar.

Lastly, the reason you had chest pain was probably from all the alcohol. Don't you know that alcohol isn't good for your heart? Your body has to metabolize the alcohol before it can do anything else, thus it is normal to have an elevated and more pronounced heart beat from drinking.

Also, you could have pulled or tweaked a muscle in your chest, and that could be causing the pain. Its happened to me on more than one occasion.

Did you experience any shortness of breath?

Would I have chest pains for 3 days because of the alcohol though?

I don't remember any shortness of breath. I felt the pain in the very center of my chest and we just assumed it was my heart so I guess it could have been a muscle.

It's probably your sternum dude. I used to get that where it felt like it was all bound up or something. I went to the chiropractor and he said it was my ribs in my back that were out of place pushing on my sternum. He did some different things and the next day it was gone. After a few times of it happening I figured out what it was and stopped applying pressure to my side and it's never came back again.

The only reason it might have been my heart is because the pain moved left a little toward my heart area and now the doctor's saying that he might have heard a murmur (sp?).

could be^ or some sorta pulled muscle deep in your chest. but you do know superpump also has creatine in it. i would stop taking that for now. also it is a vasodilator and if you are having issues with your heart something that dilates blood vessles might not be a good idea to take it.

Oh I see, I missed your post up there. My bad, I reallly wanna start taking the Anator and CE2 again and I think I might if there's no connection between creatine and heart problems.

Yeah, not gonna lie, I kept the first 12 down like a champ, but then I started walking and drinking down the road to my friend's house. Bad idea. I puked all over the road lol.
