First, theres a big difference between skeletal and cardiac muscle fibers.
Second, creatine is a naturally occuring amino acid that you ingest in beef and fish.
Third, nothing against your doctor, but ask him if he even know how creatine works, or what amino acids its made from. Just because he's a doctor, doesn't mean he specializes in nutrition, or sports nutrition, or anything similar.
Lastly, the reason you had chest pain was probably from all the alcohol. Don't you know that alcohol isn't good for your heart? Your body has to metabolize the alcohol before it can do anything else, thus it is normal to have an elevated and more pronounced heart beat from drinking.
Also, you could have pulled or tweaked a muscle in your chest, and that could be causing the pain. Its happened to me on more than one occasion.
