Then you eat another meal in the next hour and a half. You're depleted over night and your metabolism peeks. I think as a first meal immediately upon awaking you take in your fast digesting protein (whey, isolate, etc) to disallow protein breakdown or allow the body to break down other
substances (amino's, glycerol (fats, etc)) for enery. And some simple carbs (some fruit or even fuctose:glucose) to
restore glycogen.
Just my take on it, ya know I completely see your point. It's a ****ing pain in the ass but I guess we all have our ways.
Sometimes my meals in the morning are heavy, some are just whey and 2 cups oats with fruit.
