Well since we have a new supplier now.I noticed more people are getting rep status especially after new guy signed someone up.
Now are we going to have to witness or get badgered by people constantly saying hey you can find it here or their prices are shitty.I hope not.I really dont want to have to read thru fucking commercials in a thread!

Well said, I had the same thoughts. Imo it would be better if they weren't a rep for one of the companys but rather became a rep for both, (so there a dungeon sponsor rep) so there isnt any conflict between any companys. (not saying there will be but just as a pre-causion imo)

I dont really know how they were go about handling it I just hope they dont let it get to that.I think each company should talk to their reps and set some ground rules.I think a link to the site in their sig and their name in there should be enough to get the word out a little. No need to push them in evey conversation. Its not like they getting paid lol
I have the companies out and they all have competive prices but once you add in shipping(which isnt that much)I still would rather buy local.Online stores need to be lower priced to be compative with peoples local stores.

I dont think that we should advertise in every thread, but when some one asks what online store to buy from or if they are suggesting a store that isnt a sponsor, i think then we can tell them to go to our sponsor

yes you sure can that makes total sense but everytime someone ask about a supp not a store you dont have to end your post with
"check out so and so its the lowest prices around" or something like that. You or any other rep wasnt doing this yesterday when yu werent a rep so no need to do it now.Not saying you as in you Im just talking in general.

I totally agree, just when they specify asking for a store and/or when they are talkin about buying at a GNC/local supplier we can always give them our online sponsor as an alternative, but there definitly should be a limit. couldnt agree more kaboom

Yep, agreed. Company reps should be there to help promote the company products when someone asks a question, not to just blindly advertise. In my experience, blindly and blatantly advertising has the exact opposite effect of what you want to accomplish anyway. If all you're doing is spamming links then people will end up just ignoring you anyway. If you're linking to a company product when someone asks "hey, whats the best place to get <insert random supplement here>?" and you respond with a company link, that's normal. Links in signatures are fine too. There's no board policy that limits the amount of advertising a sponsor can do, but I always like to tell the sponsors that they'll get a much better following if they don't just blatantly spam product links and advertisements but instead become actively involved in actual conversation on the board.

We may consider opening up a "Company Promotions" forum on here in the near future, where you'll be free to spam away any sales, promotions, etc. That way the advertisements are in a place where people can find them if they're looking for them. Posts in the supplement forum would be limited to engaging in actual supplement conversation rather that posting sales/ads/etc. Visitors to the site will appreciate that much more in the long run. I'm immersed in marketing every day of my life and if there's one rule of thumb to follow, it's to give people what they want when they are looking for it rather than shoving it in their faces in hopes of attracting them. Conversion rates shoot up, customer retention shoots up, everyone's happy. There's my marketing 101 lesson for the day - please mail your tuition checks to me ASAP.
