I am considering making the switch from concentrate to isolate and Want to know top quality isolates that make true to their claims. Basically what companies to splurge for and which ones to stay away from. Right now I am looking at VPX, Bioplex, NOW or AST. Any particular brands I should stay away from please let me know!

AST is good from what I hear.

why not just use a combination protein with all kinds in it?

^most of the time those are mostly concentrate (supplement companies trying to make an extra buck by saying its a "special blend"), and if he's making the switch because of stomach issues, it would be in his best interest to stick with the isolate, in terms of whey.

What do you mean by claims? Really just find an isolate that tastes good, no one company is going to have a better whey isolate then another.

Yeah i'm not sure i understand his intentions of switching... seems that he could think that its some kind of magic protein... but besides higher quality that seems to be the reason most switch. I know that I would reccomend a blend if he didnt have stomach issues because the cost to effect ratio just doesnt add up to get isolate without having a solid reason.

switching to an isolate is the best choice you will make for now, look for a whey isolate protien that is 100% hyrdolized (or as close to it as possible) you will see that the protien to scoop ratio should be like only 1 scoop for a 28gral protein serving.

if you have extra cash look for a blend that you can drink during the other hours of your day

Thanks for all the help guys! I am making the switch just bc Im looking for better quality. No stomach issues and I actually drink a blended protein before bed or when Im running late and I need a quick shake.
