Whatever works for you. Personally I like to have a cut-off point like 5 max. The issue with taking too many products at once is that it becomes difficult to tell what each is doing for you; that is if it has any effects at all. Also I'm a college student so I'm trying to live within my means. So most of my decisions arrive from a means of frugality.

B's and C's have no upper intake limit.

You CAN take A HUGE excess of C, but it won't do that much to you. You'll just feel a lil weird

You can take too many minerals and there are a lot of vitamins that have an UI (upper intake level) where if u take too many that u'll have a reaction. Like taking in too much beta-carotine (vit-A) u'll end up having an orange tint to your skin

Actually taking an excess of 500mg of Vit C increases oxidation levels.

Precisely. With supplementation your reach a point where the marginal cost of consuming the next dosage outweighs the marginal benefit.

Where to start....

B and C (the water-soluble vitamins) are less likely to reach toxic levels because they are easily excreted but they do have toxicity levels.

Vit. C: 2g/day is the max. You are correct on them converting to pro-oxidants but wrong on the level.

You will also get bad diarrhea with too much vit. C.

Generally it is harder to get to toxic levels with pure food form. Most of the time it is people megadosing with vitamins... they think as some have erroneously stated that just because they are B or C coupled with the fact they are OTC that they are "safer."

That's just doing the exact opposite of its intended purpose. Instead of getting rid of free radicals you are adding them.
