I read that if you're not going to train on a certain day, you should take creatine first thing in the morning, before breakfast even.

What are you thoughts on this?

I dont think it would make that big of a difference, however if I remember correctly I did read somewhere on here that taking it at the same time everyday is what you want to do. KM or zakk probably know for sure.

take creatine like you normally do, just take it at 2 points during the day and it should be fine IMO. basically 5g at one point and 5g at another point

isnt the rule of thumb to really only be taking in about 5g a day anyways? it shouldnt matter to much when you take it on your off days...during my workout days i like to take it about an hour pre workout to really feel it during the workout.


ok never mind just edited cause i read a little a stand corrected take 10g if you want like what zack said. sorry bro.

some people prefer more. It's personal pref, but basically it's btw 5 and 10g tops, except that loading week which is about 20 to 25g

yeah it tends to be a little painful..lol. even the loading phase sucks for me cause i suffer for 5 days while i **** my brains out. lol.

and as far as the loading phase goes, some people don't like loading and don't do it. It's just personal pref. You can try not loading one cycle and see how it goes

research has shown that even loading for a period off 2 days showed more creatine absorbtion and higher concentrations of creatine in the vastus lateralis when measured. So i only loaded for 2 days lol. But ive done a 4 week cycle aaages ago now too

The amount you actually take depends on the type of creatine it is too. I would guess we're all talking about monohydrate here though... so if thats the case between 5-10g's at two points in the day like everyone has said is fine for maintenance.

It really does not matter when you take it, as long as its consitant. Once the cells are saturated there really wont be a difference.

I read that rsearch also shows there is no need for a 5 day loading phase or any loading phase for that matter.
This is just what i read I have personally never used creatine except years ago when it first came out and only used it for a few weeks cause i was broke lol.I am pretty sure I probably didnt even follow the directions.I had just started working out
