Ok so I've been lifting for a few years now but just the past few months i've really started taking my body really seriously. I'm on a good diet and all that but I have been chewing for about 2 years now and I was wondering if anybody knew what effects that could have on me building muscle the way I want

Dont know if it would have any effect besides your jaw falling off or dieing of cancer but in the meantime you could probably grow plenty of muscle.
Seriously not sure if it would effect growth or not.

nicotene overall hinders appetite development so it'd be harder for you to eat those massive amounts to gain weight, but u should be fine i guess

nicotine works as a vasoconstrictor for about an hour after smoking/chewing. You could get many types of cancer or at least increase the risk of oral, esophogeal, gastro, etc.. Chewing is gross, please quit. Put the money to food or supplements.

Why are we even talking about this ridiculas subject, for god sake man, just quit. Chewing or smoking has no place in weight training or bodybuilding. Period.

Theres tons of documented cases of long term users suffering mouth and gum cancer who have had to have parts of their jaws removed. Beyond the vanity, how are you going to get bigger if you can't chew your food?

I'm not sure about chew, but, smoking 1 pack of cigarettes per day places the same stress upon the cardiovascular system as carrying 50-75 pounds of additional adipose tissue. How about that?

Nicotine as well as being a vasoconstrictor, as freak mentioned, also lowers HDL (good cholesterol) raises LDL (Bad) and increases blood triglycerides increasing the the risk of stroke or heart attack.

I dipped and smoked before and it absolutely restricted any cardiovascular development. Saying this I do not think you will be able to work as hard as you want, especially seeing that you are getting serious about training.

It's not a stupid thread. You aren't the only person here who smokes or chews.

to natural one and mirror, you two need to ask yourself how bad you want it, i know many people who have quit smoking and dip and were doing it for years and years (longest i knew was a friend who dipped for 6 years and quit cold turkey). its mental, you need to be mentally disciplined to know that what you're doing is wrong, not just saying it, but mentally taking each day as it comes, dont look long term, just look at each day without dipping is a accomplishment, and then the next and then the next, next thing you know its been a week, a month, a year...and then you realize that you just quit.

If you are serious about getting the results you want I would say just quit. I know its not that easy, after all as you said you have been doing it for two years now. But you just got to do it and not look back.

I used to be a heavy video gamer drinking my ass off in soda each night for years on end, and I knew I was killing myself everytime I did this. You just have to tell yourself enough is enough and stop.

ex smoker here.. it's possible! No patch, no program, just stop. Decide it's time to live your life tobacco free and just stick to it no questions asked. It's the only way.
