l-carnitine is an amino acid that assists in fat metabolism. You will find it in many thermos and oother fat burners. It is supposed to help with ketones when your body is low in carbs it will help break down stored fat for energy. I am on a pre contest so I take it before working out and again during the day ebtween meals that have no carbs i probably have 1.5-2.5 g a day just l-carnitine alone.
