BCAA Supplement Help...

PrimaForce BCAA, 500 Grams - $28.95 : Orbit Nutrition

That is the product im looking at right now, as it has a high amount of BCAAs in a single serving so i dont have to take it more than once or twice a day.

It is also unflavored, but that is the main issue i am running across. Has anyone had this product (Prima Force BCAA) or enough BCAA "unflavored" powders to come to the conclusion that it doesnt have much of a taste at all, similar to creatine monohydrate?

Yes, im not the biggest fan of BCAAs, but i have never tried them as a supplement by itself (ON Whey has 5+ grams of BCAA per serving) but im curious to see what it does to my recovery ability.

Also, when would yall recommend taking BCAAs and in what amounts a day?

Ive never had any powder bcaa's but ive heard by alot of people that it taste's disgusting and very hard to stomach for most people which is why most brands do it in pill form.

The dose varies depending on where you go, some say 9g per 100lbs of bodyweight - some say .44g per kg of bodyweight.
I would say 15-20g a day will be enough to get the effects.
Sorry i cant be more specefic here but there isnt any defining studies to say exactly what dose is best.

Thats a pretty good product. My favrite is Xtend by Scivation. The grape is awsome. 19 dollars usauly lasts me about 3 weeks.

I dont want everything else that accompanies Xtend and i dont like its price. I understand what its for, but would rather use Gatorade during my workouts and go with a BCAA supp on the side. Maybe taken it pre and post workout.

as of late i have been using the liquid twinlab aminos it does not taste bad at all. i've been taking some with water during my workout and after its actually kinda convienant. never liked the powder or pills much. i have noticed a little less soreness post workout.

Heard that man - I picked up some of that a little while ago and taking 2 servings a day has increased my recovery dramatically. Plus it keeps you pumped. Stuff is awesome

agree 100% When I used it for the first time, I wasnt ecpecting to feel vasucular during my workout but I did. Great product.

I was skeptical about Xtend then I found a deal online for 3 tubs for like 80$ so I picked it up..

..Awesome taste and it really helped with my recovery which I need doing 3x a week full body split. I throw about 5g of bulk BCAAs with every 2 scoops of Xtend, hides the flavor of the terrible plain BCAAs.

I feel as though the BA helps me to push through my workouts as well.
