This is a supplement plan that I've put together from ideas out of a few M&F magazine articles. I'm wanting to save money and confusion by avoiding big brand names and there "proprietary blends" and just go with bulk powder purchases, for the most part, of time tested compounds (I hope that made some sense). This is not definite and it may still need some work.

This will be an eight week plan following my two week creatine cycle. Here's a barebones picture of my diet: I'm about 200 pounds and like to get about 300 grams of protein and 400 grams of carbs. My protein comes from powders (whey, soy, casein) and a variety of meats (mostly lean). Most of my carbs come from slow burning, whole grain sources. I make sure I get in some good fats from sources like eggs yolks and olive oils.

Upon waking:
2 grams Aceytl L-Carnitine with my gatorade and protein powders
5 grams BCAAs
200 mg Caffeine
About one hour before workouts:
5 grams of L-Arginine
5 grams of L-Glutamine
200 mg Caffeine
About half an hour before workouts:
Preworkout meal of about 45 grams carbs and 40 grams protein (turkey)
2 grams Acetyl L-Carnitine
5 grams Creatine
Right before workout:
5 grams BCAAs
During workout:
30 grams fast carbs (gatorade) EAAs (from whey)
Right after workout with post workout meal:
5 grams Creatine
5 grams Glutamine
2 grams Acetyl L-Carnitine
5 grams BCAAs
With late day meal:
5 grams BCAAs
About one hour before bed:
One dose of ZMA

I also take a multivitamin with breakfast and dinner as well as fish oil and green tea extract times a day.

I'm pretty sure I didn't leave anything out. This is still up in the air and won't start for a couple of weeks so feel free to make recommendations. I love to learn.

This could cost you a pretty penny. Is everything separate? Are you bulking or cutting?

I'm bulking (but doing a good job of keeping fat under control) and, yes, it's seperate, but most of it shouldn't cost too much. I can get the several items for a decent price.

Examples

Arginine- 454 grams $26
Caffeine- 50 grams for $18 or 100 grams for $26
Acetyl L-Carnitine- 454 grams $37
BCAAs- 500 grams $35

The thing is, these are the prices assuming I only buy one item. The total price for buying this stuff will be less if I get it all at once and get a good shipping rate.

The only thing i would comment on is its a big pain in the ass to mix diffrent combinations of bulk powders for individual dosing... i dont know if you plan on premixing the diffrent combinations you have planned, if you do use a coffee grinder and do a little at a time and make sure you get your ratios right. Other than that looks good... assuming your a glutamine fan. I would replace it with Beta alanine, 6gs split into 2-3 dosses.I would cut the creatine back to 5g's daily just to be more effecient... these are just things i would do but its ultimately up to you:-) good luck.

If you're bulking then ixnay the Carnitine, that's supposed to aid in fat loss and will do nothing for your bulk except suck money out of your wallet that could be used for food. You're going to gain fat no matter what while on a bulk, the only efficient way to minimize fat gain is to keep your diet clean and in check.

I also read somewhere that the amount of Carnitine you get from supplements is not enough to have any impact on fat loss in the first place. I'm not sure how substantiated this information is, but nevertheless it's an unnecessary supplement (IMO), even when you're cutting.

Don't rely too heavily on supplements, the impact they'll have pales in comparison to proper training and nutrition. Our guy Kaboom puts it best "Eat big + Lift big= Grow big."

I've heard the aid that ALCAR gives in fat loss is minimal at best as well... so you could drop that and save more cash. And like said above eat big lift big get big.
