Hey guys, I just recently joined this forum along with a few others because I do have a few questions. I started lifting serious about a year ago, went on for about 6 months straight and then I got hurt. Its been about 5 months since I last lifted, just started up again 4 days ago. I already have a routine / diet that worked very well. That is not really my question, but let me give you a quick run-down on what type of body I have.
Height: 5'10
Weight: 185
I am a stuby guy that already has some bulk. Therefore I do not like getting "bigger." I like getting more cut up. I have a very slow metabolism so I put on weight very easily, but fortunately for me I have that under control. I am currently only taking a pre-workout supplement that has some creatine / NO3 in it. It gives me a good pump and I love it. The one thing I want to add, so I can get back to what I was before pretty quickly [I love muscle memory] is to take a natural testosterone booster. I do not want to take any type of pro-hormones just because it messes with your body and I think the benefits dont outweigh the risks. What is supposedly the best natural testosterone booster is my main question. Also, any other ideas on what to take if I want to get leaner / more cut. I do not want to get any BIGGER, just get my muscle more defined / veiny :P. Whatever you guys think would be greatly appreciate and I am glad I joined this individual forum. I have already found a lot of the stuff useful, thanks again!

Hey, to bad no responses :(. Anyhow, I am not sure if a natural testosterone booster is the best thing for me. I am actually considering just taking BCAA, multi-vitamin for men, casein protein [ all from ON ], and CLA from EAS. With my prework supplement which is already giving me some creatine / nitric oxide and a good pump [ only take it on workout days ]. Supposedly BCAA is a great nutrient to add as well as that multi-vitamin. Casein I guess is great for longer periods with no food intake, such as sleeping at night. I know it doesn't absorb near as much as 100% Whey, but it gets absorbed in something like 4-7 hours from what I have read. CLA is supposedly great to lose weight and helps in that process. Yes I know diet / cardio / sleep / my routine is the #1 thing for putting on muscle and losing weight but I like anything that can help. Do you guys have any other suggestions on what to take and if what I am planning on taking is a good idea? Remember I want to become a lot more cut / veiny while also losing weight! Thanks!

All I am currently taking at the moment is a creatine pill it has [taking 3 pills per day even on non-workout days, total serving is]
Creatine Ethyl Ester HCL 900mg [from a total of 3 pills]
Tribulus Terrestris 300mg
Mucana Pruins (15:1) 42mg
Alpha Lipoic Acid 45mg
Vanadium AA chelate 9mcg
Zinc AA Chelate 30mg
This is one serving size taken once a day 45 minutes prior to working out, also taken on non working out days. The other thing I am currently taking is NO3ZCG9 made from MuscleWerks. It has nitric oxide creatine and glutamine. It gives me a good pump and I have always been taking this prework, I prefer it a lot more than NO Xplode. I want to start taking the BCAA multi vitamin CLA and the casein protein, but I am unsure if it will give me the results I desire. I am still open to taking natural testosterone!

Hey bud,

Tibulus is known to apparently naturally boost testosterone, whether the claims are true or not is definately up in the air. I've talked to some that say it works, some who haven't, I've even taken it and I didn't notice any gains or anything, but each to their own.

Also, what is the product you are taking post workout? And why are you taking 2 creatine products?

I am not really taking two creatine products, one is a pre workout powder, the other is a daily creatine pill. I mean the pre workout has glutamine and nitric oxide, along with a few other things. I only take that 15-20 minutes before I workout as well, unlike the pills which I take once daily. Currently I am not taking ANYTHING post workout, what I always do is eat within 45 minutes or less after I go to the gym. Like I said I was thinking of getting casein so I could have that in the morning and then right before I go to sleep. I think thats pretty much all the protein I need along with my diet. Remember, I am also drinking a two fat glasses of milk daily, along with a protein bar that carries an additional 20grams of protein. Plus, if I do get the casein, that will be even more, along with the food I am already eating which I try to make it as healthy as possible.

You need a post w/o shake, its the most vital time to get your nutrients in.

You dont seem to be having any of the basic supps, Get some whey protein, glutamine and BCAAs. Keep your creatine aswell, you may want to switch creatine type but that is a personal preference i.e if the ethy ester is working then stay on it but otherwise try monohydrate or malate (preferably monohydrate) You should get these supps from good reputable companies aswell, that NO3Z CG9 by musclewerks is very hard to research and i cant find the ingredients anywhere which leads me to believe its a bit dodgy. Casein protein is only really for night time when you are asleep so your body can have a constant supply of protein. So its not vital but worth it if you can afford it.

The only three things i would suggest you could keep from your current stack is the creatine, the vanadyl sulfate and the zinc AA chelete. I would advise you to not buy the last two aswell because there is so many other products that will work better than them, but if you feel the need them add them onto the stack i have already said.

You are also taking two types of test boosters right now, tribulus terrestis and mucuna pruriens, why is this? Did you know you are taking two types because earlier you said youre open to taking natural test? Seeing as you havnt stated your age i will just try to give you some advise anyway, If you are under 21 then get rid of them now! you dont need them, If you are between 21-30 then you could take them but i doubt it they will have any real effect. If you are over 30, then they might help you.

I am actually 19 years old and I have no idea the creatine pill I was taking already had a little bit of a natural booster in them, they worked for me in the past and I like the product. Like I said, I normally eat within 45 minutes or less after I workout, so is there still a point to take some supplements after, I believe I am getting the majority of the nutrients I need from the good healthy meal that I eat right after I lift. I also said I want to get the BCAA, Multi-Vitamin, and CLA as well. BCAA and the vitamin from ON, and CLA from EAS. Not sure what else I should take looking at my goal, leaning down a bit and getting more cut up, IE. veiny.

Yea you should take a shake after a w/o. Your body need protein straight after a w/o and whey protein is the fastest digesting protein. I know your having a meal 45mins after a w/o but meat/soy/egg protein takes alot longer to digest so by the time it will have digested the "window of oppertunity" will have passed. The "window of oppertunity" is the time after training when your body is in need of nutrients to start the muscle healing process (protein synthesis). It would also be beneficial to take your bcaa's with this shake.
