Whey is fast digesting and there are three types of it. It's better for when you get up in the morning and after training because it gives you that needed quick protein to keep you anabolic.

Casein protein is slow digesting. I want to say it's derived more from milk and takes btw 2 to 7 hours to digest. This is good before bed because it will be slow digesting and will make it so that u stay anabolic all night.

True, but in high doses soy can boost estrogen, which i understand is why most bodybuilders don't supplement with it.

Exactly. Zack covered it, nice job. Casein protein is simply to feed your body while you're sleeping. When you're sleeping you're fasting and could lose some potential muscle gains, or catabolize a very little. It can also be taken when you don't think you will be eater for a while, so as in school, work, whatever.

I've actually just read an article about, believe it or not.

And I'm pretty sure M&F is correct on this one. What I got out of the article I read is that Soy Protein is a significant source of phytoestrogens. The phytoestrogens somewhat act in the same way as Estrogen. The reason I believe it's not true is because men and women regularly produce Estrogen, women just create a greater abundance of it. Some say it helps regulate Estrogen levels as well.

Not sure if this helped. Soy protein is definitely healthy, reducing male illnesses- but I don't think it's necessary right now.

Stick with Whey.

Hmmm... interesting. I know soy has some effect on certain cancers, like reducing the risk of mammary tumors and the like. Didn't know that about male cancers, though that's good to know. I guess i can still eat miso and tofu without it going straight to my thighs then, heheh.
