does taking supplements really help that much because my friend told me to buy creatine monohydrate with bcaa and rpm. I already use muscle milk collegiate but is that really enough?

dude, get your diet in check first. Supplements are supplemental to your diet. Most/all of your macros should come from food. If you could give us some more info, I'm sure we could all help you out. Like your diet now and your weight and when you eat and all of that jazz.

You dont need supplements. Especially if you dont know what your doing with your diet in the first place. Diet makes up a very large portion of your size. Supplement are only going to help about 8% with a perfect diet and routine. The rest is sleep, your intensity when training and what you actually do, and your diet. Get all things in check before thinking about lots of supplements.

Agreed. There's nothing out there that you can take (without eating, training, and sleeping properly) and wake up the next day and be like "Damn, I'm got big off of that shit." Get the diet in line and then bring in the supplements. And keep things in perspective, when you read on here that creatine is one of the most amazing/sent from heaven supps out there, we dont mean that you're going to put on 10 lbs of muscle in 2 weeks.

To put it simple. No you don't. All about your diet, splits & resting periods.
Here's the best basic stack for anyone;

BCAA
Multivitamin
Creatine Mono
Whey
Flaxseed
Casein (Optional)

Although this is just particulars, id say Fish Oil is much more common than Flax Seed, though both are equally great. BCAAs arent as common for people either, but eh, thats just getting too particular.

Flax seed is more superior in good fats, I disagree with you in EPA\or fish oils being more common, if so, not to bodybuilders
Plus BCAAs are one of the best essential things anyone can have in lifting regimes. I was a natural 250lbs at 19 years old bro, I'm speaking from first hand experience not from picking up magazines full of bullshit.
Stay blessed, good luck

try to eat 6-8 times a day and have a portion of your total protein intake with every meal esp before and after a workout. No you dont need supps.I used to hardly use anything except protein.IMO i dont think I could get enough protein from just food.I would be eating all day.So Protein IMO is the only supp that is almost always needed

Im not really a bodybuilder nor do i hang around a bunch. Im speaking from experience of guys that just lift and like to stay healthy. I dont pick up magazines at all. In fact, i despise them.

why are you using muscle milk collegiate? You being tested by the NCAA?

I would recommened staples to supplement a good diet:

Multi
Fish Oil
Whey

maybe:

Creatine mono
BCAAs
