Well first you have to focus on your diet bro. Supps will only aid in achieving your goal. If you drop you calories and carbs and take something like hydroxycut to speed the proscess you will no doubt loose muscle along with fat.

thats a bit much if your trying to keep muscle. more cardio is not necessarily better cardio. You can achieve the same with a shorter amount of time.

it seems like alot at 18% it's not a matter of 'keeping muscle', just doing 3.5mph on about a 7-8 incline would keep the heart rate targeted around 125-135.

Right but I can achieve the same thing within 15 min doing high intensity vs 60 min of cardio. Also if hes doing cardio after a workout, that 60 min of low intensity that hes missing a post workout shake. I think his main goal is to cut fat at the same time increase muscle which we both know is one of the most difficult thing to achieve in bodybuilding. So back to my original point without propper nutrition and supplement timing alone will lead him to failure.

When cutting, you want to up your Protein intake to around 1.5-1.8g/lb of bodyweight. You're doing this maintain as much muscle mass as possible and to prevent catabolism. Lower your Carb and Caloric intake gradually and you should be fine. Like Teamorbit said, 30 minutes of high intensity cardio would be far more beneficial than 60 minutes straight. Excessive Cardio will ultimately result in muscle loss, which will make your cutting experience significantly more stressful and difficult. Good luck.

Good luck with achieving your goals, I know how hard it can be to clean up your food intake. I am 6' @ 215 pounds and have been hitting the gym 5-6 days a week with 45 mins of weight training and 30-40 mins of cardio and using various suppliments but have not seen any good results. Sure my armsa bit bigger but my bf has only dropped from 21% to 19% in 2 months. So now I am fighting with my food intake. I should have listened to the ppl here and worked on the food first, would not have waisted the last 2 months.

I'll have to agree with the HIT or HIIT cardio, and geting your diet down. If after reading up on those things you have anymore questions please ask away, feel free to PM me if you dont want to post in a thread.
