I'm getting ready to stock up on some protein and currently take true proteins whey protein concentrate. i'm debating true vs on whey. what is everyone's thoughts? other possible brands? i personally would rather take beverly int. ultra muscle provider, but the amount of tubs i would go through a month would serious put a hurting on my wallet.

Wow, I've read posts on other forums that recommended the opposite. Is there any particular reason besides taste or price?

It's Whey Protein. Not much can be different besides Nutrition facts and servings. (Also taste, but that's irrelevant). It's a personal preference. I like everything about ON whey- from the taste to the amount/Serving. It's the one I like. Find the one that you prefer. If you aren't sure- try both.

actually you can get either whey concentrate or isolate. the isolate being purer than the concentrate and being absorbed faster and has a higher bio-availability. but ON whey rocks!

Thanks fellas, I'm just now getting back into training and nutrition. Back in college (roughly 7 years ago) there were not so many options! We just pretty much ate till failure and lifted until we saw stars...and of course ate mounds of protein.

here was one of my training buddies who kept up with it thru college and is doing quite well!

After learning so much about amino acids, particularly BCAAs, id say ON is a great choice not only because of its great reputation, good pricing, and great flavors, but also because of the amino acid profile it provides as well. You should check it against other products, particularly your product.

Interesting, does is contain enough amino acids to not having to take additional bcaas post workout?

No! Extra BCAA intake leads to a faster recovery. You have amino acids in your protein because they are the building blocks to what the protein molecule is. Different purposes.

Either whey... *lol lame*, it doesnt really matter personal preference really. Although if your going with trueprotein i would get there cold filtered isolate.... mainly because its an isolate.

I can buy the same protein at True Protein as ON whey. I know the guys of True Protein, worked out with them all and would rather give them my money. May be 10 bucks more every 10lbs I buy but its just personal preference. Plus they usually have sweet offers different times of year, and 5% discount codes. PM me if you need a discount code.

Eat Up,

^ did you work out with Dante, because that would be sweet. I wish he was still training people, i would shell out the cash just for the experience of his guidence... let alone actually lift with him. In addition the 5% discount codes that are readily available if you buy 16+ lbs you get an additional 5% off.

I've never worked out personally with Dante but have been instructed by him for a while. And yes, it is sad he is not training anymore, my workout parter is the last person he will be training this year.

I have worked out with Justin Harris and Steve Kuclo who are both sponsored by true protein. Justin is now part of the true protein team, both are great guys.
