Dear All
I am a 26 years old girl - i workout about 3-4 times weekly (each session - 1 hour cardio. Sometimes I try to replace one cardio session per week with resistance training). Besides the regular workouts, I also sprinkle in some yoga in between.

I have been working out consistently for 4 years but still cant lose the remaining body fat in my body. I still weigh 60kg (as how i weighed before i started the workout program, but now is more muscle than fat so i look trimmer)

I would like to lower my body fat percentage, especially around my abs

I recently bought -Hydroxycut (new formula without Ephedrine) pills
Started off taking one pill before breakfast and one pill before lunch.
Tomorrow will be Day 4.
(this is my first time taking diet supplement)

I have a few concerns. Really hope that you guys can help me out.

1) I already feel the effects are quite potent even though i am just taking 2 pills per day. Is it OK not to increase the dosage and stick with the current - 1 pill before breakfast, 1 pill beforel lunch?

2)Can i still take my multivit or vitamin C or Calcium supplements as how I used to before i started on Hydroxycut?

3) Is there any precaution about this product that I should know of? (eg not to be mixed with certain food/vitamins? side effects? )

4)The bottle said that it recommends usage for 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, must I stop using it? If yes, how long should I wait before i resume? (and will i get fat once i stop?)

5) I am currently going for slimming treatments in slimming saloon as well (deep tissue activation / ultrasound fat mobiliser) - will it clash with this supplement?

Thanks!!!

1) the effects will eventually start to wither as your body becomes more accustomed to the product so you may need to increase your intake eventually.

2) there shouldn't be a problem with taking your multi's and all your other vitamin supps as hydroxycut is primarily just green tea extract, caffeine and white willow extract with a few other ingredients.

3) depends on you, i would recommend staying away from a caffeine high diet if you are easily affected by stimulants. (because of the caffeine content of hydroxycut)

4) 8 weeks is probably the minimum no. of weeks before you should stop and because this product is not "hardcore" (although they claim it is) you could probably safely resume the product in abt 2-4 weeks.

5) should only increase results, but you have to workout after your treatment session to use the free fatty acids for energy (burning fat). the treatment only helps to form free fatty acids from your stored fat deposits for use as energy. the treatment does not burn the fat itself.

few other tips:

diet is key to losing that unwanted fat.

calories in must be lower than calories out(burnt)

hydroxycut is far from the best thermogenic you can get, my advice is to look around on some net site's to find not only a better product but a cheaper one.

hope this has helped!

welcome to the dungeon BTW!

Hydroxycut should get you were you need to be if your diet and training are in check as well, BUT if your still noticing some areas with stubborn fat try looking into Napalm by Avant Rsearch to get rid of those stubborn areas. Best of luck with Hydroxycut as I was thinking of using this when I begin my cut.

great advise guys. you asked if u may get fat after you stop taking it. i think to stay slim, you have to commit to a lifestyle change. diet pills jump start the weight loss process. if you go back to doing the same thing, than the weight will come back on.

Cough & muscle ache/tiredness part of side effects?

Dear All

Thanks for the replies so far.
Now I am only taking one pill per day before breakfast (because I

drink tea/coffee with breakfast and lunch mostly, and i dont want

to overdose on caffeine)

Lately however, i start to feel mild cough and muscle

tiredness/soreness - roughly about 3 -4 hours after taking the

pill.
I drink lots of water (at least 1 litre after taking the pill)

over the 3-4 hours, but i still have this effect.
is it normal? what can i do to reduce this effect?

Another thing is i tend to "crash" at the end of the day feeling

very tired. Sometimes the crash is timely - near bedtime. But

sometimes the crash comes in the evening (which makes me too tired

to work out in the evening :( )
Any Advice?
Thanks!

The crash, is most likely just the pills wearing off and you coming down so to speak. But not sure why you dont actually crash sooner if you are taking it at breakfast.I think you would be safe taking the 2 a day.
As far as the cough and soreness maybe youre getting the flu lol.Im not sure about that one.Ive never heard of anyone having that side effect.Have you ever had any trouble with blood pressure? If you have you prob dont want to be taking the hydroxy cut.I know when I use to take caffeine pills and I would take to many an hour or so later my blood pressure would be up which in turn can cause you to cough

Honestly I would get rid of the coffee/tea. With most diet product they contain a good amount of caffeine in them and advise you not to consume more caffeine when taking them, too much caffeine in the system will lead to a bigger crash later on when the amount in your system is drastically less when you don't have it. Especially in the AM you are taking your hydroxycut and coffee/tea, thats a LOT of caffeine, and then again at lunch, my advice would be lose the morning coffee/tea and try uping your second servig to 2 pills. Personally I don't like Muscle Tech products, I would recommend you try Lipo6X as it is a very good fat burner and I and many other people here have experienced great results from it.

As far as your diet goes try this and see how it works:
At 132lbs (60kgs) and you want to lose weight and bodyfat, aim to consume between 1500-1750 calories a day. Aim to get 55% of those calories from protein, 35% from good carbs (whole wheat products, except your post workout shake/meal then a fast carb is ok, but don't exceed 30g of carbs) and 10% from good fats. Also, if you want cycle in a really low carb and calorie day (like on a sunday or something when you have off completely). Doing this throws your body off and keeps it guessing, preventing it from plateuing on your diet, it will also help you dip below you daily calorie needs, so if your eating 1500-1750 normally, aim to eat 1000-1200 calories on a day, not too drastic but it should help.

Best of luck, let us know if you have any other questions or concerns!

I kinda stopped reading after the 3rd post. The main thing you need to do is DIET. Get your diet in check first before jumping on to a burner. As much as I hate Muscletech, Hydroxycut is an ok product but there is WAY TOO MUCH caffeine in it which will cause a crash & jittery feelings. Look into another fat burner & get your diet into check & drink LOTS of cold water...Also drink green tea as it's a great detox which will aid you in your fat loss.
Good luck

^^^LOL, I'd never touch it either...
I don't know of any good Thermogenics for females to use that isn't too harsh on the system. I'd say Leviathan is a possibly the best burner out there atm which is a great supp & very safe but it also raises Test levels which may not be a good idea for women to take. Maybe Prudence can help out on this one...Prudence sweety where are you? LOL

i don't know. i've only taken fat burners to lean down for competition, so they were kinda high in stimulants. optimum nutrition has one called mega fat burners thats stimulant free and another one called thermo cuts, but i haven't tried either of them. i did like gaspari's thermogenic thyrotabs. they made me sweat like hell. when i was cutting weight, i took black ice right before my cardo sessions. those pills were no joke.

you could try hoodia or green tea, both herbal with little or no stimulants. CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) is also effective at fat burning, it is an efa. USN (ultimate sports nutrition) has a stimulant free fat burner also. if others come to mind later i'll post some more options.
