The price difference could be an outcome of popularity, but out of the two flavors I would go with Chocolate.

Its the same. except one is a newer packaging than the other. I would suggest getting the chocolate in the 10lb bag.

Dude the chocolate is good.

GNC's Chocolate whey should be spelled "chalklate"- That's the grosest shake I've ever had.

Anyway, the difference is the year and model. Nothing big.

I would go with the cheaper of the 2 as long as the have the same protein per serving. Don't worry about the taste it only matters if it works and you can use the extra money for something else you might need. I hope this helps.

Chocolate is good but Strawberry is AMAZING! I use it as a treat sometimes and to flavor plain oatmeal, among other things. I mix it with milk though, so H2O may suck.

Both of those flavors are terrible in water with any brand.

For me, any protein in choc. taste ok.

The strawberry syntha 6 is amazing, but I would go with choc. if your getting on's.

Cosign, I prefer my chocolate ON in water, otherwise it's chalky.

Because I hate the taste of protein mixed with water it makes it hard to make protein shakes on the go. Milk does not tend to keep well in the truck all day lol. Plus I mix creatine in my post-workout shake and that degenerates if it stays in solution too long. THUS I have to make my shakes at the gym instead of beforehand. It sucks mixing them with water!

Then I discovered powdered milk! I put one scoop of creatine monohydrate, one scoop of powdered milk, one scoop of Strawberry ON protein, and if it is a POST-workout shake I add some simple carbs (sugar) in a container. After my workout I simply add some H2O and I have an amazing tasting protein shake. FRESHLY made. It tastes like it is made with milk! The only difference is that it mixes easier than milk and isnt as thick as if made with milk.

None of the ingredients need to be refrigerated and it can be made on the spot. All you need is water and a cup. I use yogurt cups or small tupperware to store the powder concoction and usually make up a bunch of them at a time and store them in my truck for convenient anytime shakes. Half with creatine and sugar for post-workout and half without for pre-workout.

yes it is exactly the same as milk nutritionally. I buy NONFAT dry milk. It has the same protein, carbs, cholesterol, calcium, etc.... as skim milk. The box I buy makes 5 gallons and after doing the math it ends up being slightly cheaper than milk sold by the gallon.

I wouldnt go drinking it with cereal because real milk does taste better when drank plain but it is great for adding it to hot chocolate, oatmeal, .... and protein shakes!

to throw in my two cents:

double chocolate- tastes great with h20 and milk
mint chocolate chip- great with h20 and milk
bananna cream- milk only
vanilla- bland flavor unless mixed in with a vanilla yogurt smoothie and fruit
strawberry- decent flavor, milk or h20 is ok.

strawberry banana, LOVE IT!!!! I like the chocolate too, but once I tried a drink that was strawberry banana, there was just no comparison anymore, if a company doesn't make a strawberry banana flavor I will buy 1 tub of each and mix it myself.
