is gnc the worst suppplement store in the world

Okay just wondering if gnc pushes all of there employees to push crappy products or do they just want to sell the most expensive ****. Everytime I go into the gnc I pick protein up at they have these two obese women working there. They know absolutely nothing about fitness. I ask them if they have the 5 pound tub of NO whey protein and they try to direct me to all of the muscletech **** which is like 90$ a tub. The lady working there told me that it increases my muscle fiber production by changing your DNA?! She also told me about this other product I can't remember cuz it was probably such crap. She said it increases the amount of SETS IN YOUR REPS

. When I heard that I walked out of the store. I will never go back to gnc. So just wondering, they get paid to endorse all that **** right?

Change dna ? she should be slapped for that ****. lol Yeah they work on commission every musclecrap product they sell they make a percentage off of it. why would they push the cheaper product when they have this "new" product that makes muscles grow over night that they can sell you.

alot of GNC products enhance the amounts of sets in your reps, its inherit to the coding of the matrix.

GNC isn't always bad, just go in there, be firm with them. I find that GNC sometimes has some of the best sales I can find, 30 dollars for 5 pounds of whey protein, thats a great deal that pops up. With GNC its alot of bull**** to wade through but if you can stiff arm the persistant salesreps that are more persistant than preachers spreading the good word, then you'll be fine.

I just love going into GNC and asking the employees questions I know will stump them, either that or a dumbass response . They are completely incompetent in the realm of fitness and deserve to be embarrased and put on the spot.

man i hate that when you know what your going to buy and they try to sell you somethings thats more expensive but what you buying does the job for way less. i think i found a vitamin shoppe over here so i dont have to waste my time in there anymore!

you should never go to a supplement store to make a purchase over $20. bodybuilding can be an expensive hobbie/sport. think smart not only in the gym but outside, as far as supplemtation and food intake.

hes right about that with the amount of supps i go through (bcaas protein and stuff) it makes sense to get it cheap, now protein and creatine you have to shop around but things like bcaas and HMB and CLA doesnt matter where you go cla is cla etc. so instead of paying something like $70 for the supposed "ultimate" CLA (90caps) i pay $7 for 100 and i havent seen one sign to make me belive that its inferior.

while GNC is a retarded store to buy things from, its how you deal with it that matters.

like how weightlifters and bodybuilders get pissed off/offended when someone asks you how much you bench, or how big your arms are, or if you do steroids.
i mean, you did start lifting weights a majority of you to better change your appearance so you would get noticed and have some more attention right??? i know that isnt the main reason but anyway you just live it up and laugh it off and think "ha, what fags"

you almost make it seem like your suprised/shocked that there are actual morons in the world who dont know jack ****. AND you dont need a specialist qualification form years of study at collage and a Ph. D to sell a few tubs of stinkin' dust.

easy on the GNC cats...remember they are sales people, not nutritionist or chemist. they push certain product becuase they get more commission on them. GNC pays 5.85$ an hour plus commission. if people in GNC really knew what they were talking about ( some do) they would have to pay more for people who are better informed. but the prices at GNC are a little high, i think thats because you can take back almost anything...anyway....just playing the devils advocate...GNC does stink- 42GUNZ

^^^ No its because GNC does not have to lower the price. They get the same amount of customers wheather they have lower prices or higher prces. They have created there own market. I would say everything but there own line is priced at suggested retail when most companys price under wholesale.

Another thing is that a lot of there more popular products supplement company usualy work a deal with GNC to sell exclusivley foe X amount of time. An example is NanoX9 from muscle tech. That product came out to GNC excusive and was not being distributed to other companys. So Supply and Demand says GNC can price it at what ever they want because it was being pushed and marketed hard by MT and only sold st GNC.

i have a part-time at a GNC... and Yes they are $$$$... Gold Card week is the best time to buy.. they also do price matching.. as long as its a retail store and not a site..so if u find something at a cheaper price bring in an original flyer from that store and they'll match the price.. also my store is cool cuz everyone that's in the military and has an ID gets the gold card discount all year long and dont have to wait for gold card week.. so if somethings on sale they can come in get the sale sale price plus 20% off.. but my store is the only one in orlando that does it.. athey dont push us to sell muscle tech products but u do get commission off it.. but i really dont push them i just tell them what they really need even if it means that i dont get my share..

I got regular monohydrate for 9.50 there on gold card week. Not EVERYTHING is overpriced but majority of their products are. Size On there is 70!

Agreed^^^^ i just recently got about 20 sample from GNC for FREE some fat burners, N.O's,whey protein, vitamins, Amino Acids, Createin, and more. Before this is felt the same way you guys did sort of but after this im going to continue to shop there not all the time but when they have specials =)
